2. Yea i have a puma 212 combo too I also have same said GAS pm me if the current swap doesn't go through
3. Would love to hear how this sounds i don't suppose you've got any recordings of the rig do you How would you compare the sound of the Terror bass through the GS 112 compared to the Orange Isobaric 10s and 12s Saw you were interested in a tecamp 212 combo else where on the board I might be tempted for a trade + some cash
4. [s] Great condition fully working Boss TU-2 available few slight scratches but all in all classic reliable tuner Korke Pitchblack wanteded simply cos it will fit better on my pedal board Will Sell for £43 posted[/s]
5. Is this still available sounds interesting
6. Flyingzebrq you pretty much have my first choice rig of the moment there might have to take you up on that offer.
7. The crash is still available
8. This the standard Mk1 Bass drive not the Eq Drive
9. I'm considering a move from super light weight combo to light weight head and cab. Top of my amp list is the ampeg PF500, OTB then markbass and Genz Benz When it comes to cabs I'm struggling to get passed the barefaced specs the problem is it's so tough to choose without listening. Are there any Midget or Compact users in the Bristol area that would be able go let me have a play through your rig. Or even just let me know when your playing out so I could come hear it in context Much appreciated Matt
10. Valve drive pedal I'm pretty sure you're all aware of what it does Bass overdrive with a valve still looking for the one that is My sound £SOLD will consider trades
11. Super light 500w combo, driven by the Puma 500 head, non-removable Interested in trades not cash very interested in orange or ampeg offering's (head and cab's or combos) Super GASSING for Genz Benz Streamliner after reading Shep's review Big Orange Terror Bass and Cab Gas I find the eq just doesn't hit the right spot for me, would be spot on for a slapper or 5 string/active plauyer I reckon this has the modern/HiFi vibe and I'm playing pick style in a indie/post-punk band pics to follow
12. bump for the price drop
13. Interested in all things bass but especially Low Gain Overdrives at the moment As well as being a great, warm sounding compressor, if you crank the pre-gain, you can get quite a cool valve overdrive, if you're into that kind of thing. Will Sell for £SOLD
14. Bumpatronic also see sig for other goodies
15. Spam (FS/FT) PM me offers Seymour Duncan SFX-07 Shape Shifter Tap Tremolo £97 Zildjian 14in A Custom Crash £95
16. I'm interested in the polish love at low gain will it still retain lows will it get into the sort of sound that i posted above without a tone control to control the highs If so I might might have to dive on it in the forum My concern with the Phat Phuk is that i use a solid state D class amp and I don't want to boost the signal too much just slightly warm it up Although the SFT, Mad professor, EBS and sound great i'm most likely gonna have to wait for a 2nd hand one to come up in my price arrange. The Way Huge is available new for similar price and obviously the polish love is much cheaper
17. From what I've found about the polish love it seems and sounds to be very high gain I'm really looking for low gain sounds, I've just pulled the trigger on a fender sub-lime for fuzzier more distorted sounds, i'm really lookin for the warmth from my OD I'd like to hear more about the problems you've had with the EBS and Pork Loin Dudewheresmybass, also when people talk about grittiness I'm not sure what I'm after more smooth warmth so I'm not sure if the hardwire would be for me? The SFT sounds promising but hard to come by and probably very expensive?
18.
If you want a sound like a nice tube amp, why not try a tube amp sim - Tech 21 VT Bass? A nice budget OD pedal is the Bogdan Polish Love if you can find one - it's not all that different to the EBS, a bit warmer IMO.
Hows the Polish Love for Low end retention, Where do I look for them
19. I'm looking for a low gain Bass overdrive, with no loss of lows and a really warm round sound I'm not after bossey attacky highs but a smoth warm sound Listening to clips and YouTube vids even most Bass overdrive pedals tend to be more guitar attack like rather than overdriving the bass sound like a nice tube amp would. The nearest to the sort of sound I'm after is this clip of the EBS Multidrive EBS Multidrive clip The problem with videos is although they give a good indication of the sound of the pedal they don't hightlight specifics. For instance for me one of the most important things is is it possible to keep close to unity volume and not experience Bass loss when kicking in the pedal. My current overdrive pedal the Zeibek Geminidrive is really guilty of this as is my Rat even with Reutz mod and leaves me not wanting to play it, also the Geminidrive is really hard to get a decent blended sound out of without a significant volume boost So is the EBS what I'm after, are there any alternatives that I should look into I'm also considering the Way Huge Pork loin as it gets lots of praise for retaining low's and also has blend control and is a bit cheaper and easier to get hold of. All opinions appreciated
20. [s]Zvex Vextron series Fuzz with wave control, impedance variability to work well with active and passive bass's plus three sub switching for greater control over the low frequencies. I reckon this is better more tweakable than the Woolly mammoth and if I still needed that synth bass sound would be all over this but am in a different band now and need different textures i reckon. Could be tempted by trades for anything really particularly after a warm non bass sucking tubey overdrive or fuzz Sold[/s]
