  1. Got this Hamer Chaparral Bass two years ago. I like it Made 1991 I believe. Aftermarket Seymour Duncan pickups, not the original EMGs. I found it in the classifieds here locally (Iceland). It was left for some time without a bag or case in a loft of a youth center. The janitor looked for it with me on every floor until we found it behind an old drum set on the top floor. The owner was out of town at the time and needed the janitors help in finding it. From the moment I played it unplugged with old strings it was clear that this is a quality instrument, it resonates and plays well. I would love to own a Cruise bass, I remember when version 2 came out and got a perfect review in Bass Player.
  2. Sorry to hear about your arthritis. Those Jet P basses are on my radar for a cheap P Bass and yours would be very desireable if I was in the UK. Love the look of that one.
  3. Time for an update to this great thread These are my basses on the settee: Sterling by Musicman Ray34 (most likely be sold next week). Spector Rebop 5 Lakland Skyline 44-02 (most recent addition) Hamer Chaparral Squier James Johnston Signature Jazz Bass Blade B3 (restored after being broken to bits) Tokai Hardpuncher VSB40 ltd. Ed.
  4. That one is lovely
  5. Hi, I got this Hamer Chaparral 1991 last year and it's a very good bass. I'm not playing out much so I haven't tried it yet with a band. The pickups are not original, it was like this when I got it. z
  6. Thank you 👍
  7. Hello guys, Can you identify the red Spector on the picture? Is this a NS-2a ? It has PJ pickups.
  8. Thanks! This is great, I will definitely check out more music from these.
  9. Wow! Congrats, amazing figuring in the neck.
  10. I should have taken screenshots 😐
  11. Does the link from the original post still work for you? Doesn't work for me anymore.
  12. Hi, thank you for the advice, I’ll remember that next time I will use it on a gig 👍
  13. That's a cool looking Fender, I am kind of familiar with a version like this. I have this Tokai Hardpuncher from the 80´s that looks very much alike It doesn't have any contour where my forearm rests so it can be a little uncomfortable to play because of the sharp edge of the body. The neck is quite the baseball bat also but I like it
