2. Cheers, will do. Probably stick with a Fender, although it is a lovely looking thing.

4. Hi Guys and Gals, Searched everywhere for low profile jack plugs for my effects pedals and could't find any, then run into this guy on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT weardale electrics, got an offer on at the mo buy 3 get one free, any length up to 1metre so I got 3 6" leads and 1 15" lead for £11.84 delivered, uses Van Damme cable which is excellent, arrived next day, well made and working a treat. Got to say I'm delighted. Even if I could have got hold of the jacks, dont think I could have made them myself for this. Worth a look if you need low profile patch leads.

6. Check out John McLaughlin's 'Industrial Zen' - 'For Jaco'- Feraud can do it all right, and if its good enough for John !!! I like all this stuff but it aint commercial.
7. BUMP Change of heart, offered a Modded Jazz (already done) so price dropped to sell. Anyone interested.
8.
Nice, i'm looking for something like this, but i've never been a big fan of Squier products... How's the intonation on this bass? Do you have nay soundsamples by any chance?
Hey Bassdude, To be honest, everything, intonation etc is better than the mex fretless' I tried. My main gigging bass is a Mex 62 re-issue jazz which I love now that I've changed the bridge for a Badass, but there's not much in it and 3 X the cost (to have Fender stamped on the end). Obviously would love an American Jazz but out of my league at the mo.
9. I've sold a couple of bits and was going to try an get hold of a higher spec fretless, but to be honest, you've inspired me. I'll let it run on e-bay for this week and If it doesn't sell, I'm going to mod it like you have. Thanks for the inspiration.
10.
Looks lovely, really clean simple lines, if I had the cash... Postage can be a drag but you do get more interest if you offer it as an option...
Thanks for the heads up. Is a great bass, couldn't believe the spec/quality when I bought it, Just can't see me ever using it. Would love a fretless stingray so selling a few unused bits and bobs to accumulate the cash for one (eventually!!!)
11. Ooooh ! Maybe that's what I should do, looks great. They are great basses. Cheers
12. Hi Andy, Enjoy, lots of good info and advice here
13.
This is bidding down the way then, not up the way like E By Gum, is your price £400.00?
Was hoping for a little bit more really (£450 - £500) but would take £400 at a push. One just sold on e-bay for £400 and this is genuinely like the day I bought it, very rarely used, allways gig with my 60's re-issue Jazz. Think it will shift?
14. Fender Squire Vintage Modified Fretless Jazz Bass * Save £85 on the retail price * I bought this bass with all good intentions of learning to play a fretless. Unfortunately, I never get time and, as a result, this bass never gets used. I have owned it from new and it has never been gigged or taken outside of the house, as a result, it is like the day I bought it. It has been restrung with Rotosound FM66’s to get a real Joco-esque sound. When I bought it I tried the Mexican Fretless Jazz and to be honest, the Squire left it for dead, I think partly because of the Seymour Duncan Pickups. It is a lovely looking and sounding instrument and a pleasure to play. Seems criminal to have it sitting doing nothing. If you are looking for a decent fretless at a budget price you could do a lot worse than this. They seem to retail for £270.00 so, given the immaculate condition, I will start the bidding at £185 Here’s what Fender say: ‘Disciples of groove will severely dig Squier’s elegantly slinky new Vintage Modified Jazz Bass Fretless, which fuses the warm, expressive voice of an upright with the defined attack of an electric. The no-pickguard, Three-color Sunburst finish is a classic, and the lightweight agathis body is home to a pair of single-coil Duncan Designed™ Jazz Bass pickups. The special one-piece maple neck has a fretless Ebonol fingerboard with white celluloid lines that let you know where you’re at! Other features include a four-saddle chrome bridge, and chrome hardware and machine heads’. I would prefer local pick up, as I am reluctant to post such a lovely instrument, however, if the buyer wants to arrange their own courier, I will ensure that it is well packed, as a guide only; £20-£25 seems about average for a guitar. Please ask if you have any questions. 15. **Six String Active Bass** Ibanez (BTB556MP) I am selling my beautiful Ibanez BTB556MP 6 string bass. I have owned this bass from new and it has never been gigged or in fact outside of my house, as a result, the bass is immaculate. This is a great looking and sounding high spec active bass with 3-Band EQ which can give you any tone you could possibly want, from a monstrous bottom end to a tight funk sound. The neck is fabulously easy to get around and extremely thin and comfortable. When I bought it I was concerned whether I would be able to play a 6 string but was very surprised at how easy it is. It has lots of very nice high quality features such as: · 5 piece maple and walnut neck which is incredibly stable with 2 truss rods · Mahogany body faced with lovely satin finished maple · The bridge is comprised of 6 "Mono-Rail II's" which make each string completely independent giving huge sustain · 18 volt EQ circuitry providing much greater headroom than standard active EQ's · A locking Neutrik jack which prevents the lead being accidentally pulled out · 6 controls; Volume, Balance, Mid high, Mid Low, Bass, and Treble · All hardware is lovely matt silver colour · The control knobs are excellent quality, very solid and smooth to use · 35 in. neck scale provides superior articulation I have strung the guitar with a set of light gauge Rotosounds which cost £30 and give an awesome sound and feel. These basses are no longer available which a crying shame as I think Ibanez got it spot on with such a high spec and great looking guitar. At the end of the day, it is an Ibanez (well made, reliable, good quality, versatile etc) I think I paid IRO £600 for the bass when I bought, and given its condition bidding starts at £400. If you want a quality 6 string but don’t want to pay £1000’s you will love this bass. Listed on you know where.
