I've programmed a Future Impact patch which gets pretty close to a Clav.

Clavinets didn't have a built-in phaser (in the sense of Phase 90/Small Stone) but were often used in conjuction with one. Perhaps you are thinking of the four pickup combinations, some of which had the two pickups in or out of phase.

I tried this out today. Tracks like a bloodhound and sounds pretty great. Not as much gain as my Octabvre but tracks much better than it. The Octabvre has more bottom end and a plummier sound but the MXR is a really good octave pedal and I may well get one.

Richtone will price match and is my local shop. £477 seems not too unreasonable considering Minitaur prices are £379-420-ish.

Apologies if I’ve accidentally flagged a post. I hit one somewhere when I opened my phone and can’t see which one it was.

I did, it didn’t mention anything about text rotation though so I thought I’d mention it explicitly.

Also, just another thought: since the buttons are now at the sides, might you want to rotate the text 90 degrees (opposite direction for both so that the bottom of the letters are nearest the pedal’s edges)?

Only things I’d suggest is moving the “prog.” text up so it is in line with the “on/off” text and making sure the fonts of those two labels are the same size (prog appears bigger in the photo).

The postal service is still reliable so anyone interested should just pay the modest price and buy one from GisserD.

Have you seen how Zach Rizer plays? His fingers form a similar shape.

Part of the poor tracking is down to where on the neck this line is played. It’s on Eb at the 11th fret of the E string. I’m using really heavy flats with a medium action. What I’m finding is that those things are causing the string to play a harmonic if muting with only my LH index finger. I’m other words, it’s partly a technique issue. I found that using more LH fingers and my RH thumb to mute the E string when skipping octaves improved things a lot. It’s pretty tricky to keep moving my thumb back and forth at speed. When playing octaves on E and D strings without effects, I generally anchor my thumb on the pickup and it’s fine. It’s going to take some concerted practice to adapt.
