  1. You should totally get a Mastotron anyway. It doesn’t give more, it gives something else. I don’t think I’d be without mine now. The OC-10 is pretty cool sounding too. I think I’ll probably end up buying another Octo Nøjs too.
  2. Yep. For well under £100 this is awesome. I can’t say with absolute authority if it truly nails the OC-2 sound as I’ve never played one. I’ve only ever heard recordings of it. It sounds spot on compared to those though.
  3. Undoubtedly by me. I had an Octo Nøjs and loved it. I sold it recently and am kind of regretting it as the parallel gated fuzz in it is brilliant. It tracks pretty well and is much better on open strings (other than low E) than the other October’s I’ve had, including the MXR, which is still the best-tracking octaver I’ve played; the Red Witch Zeus came a close second.
  4. These are cool and this used to be mine.
  5. No, but I posted some clips of this last year.
  6. This may be a digital-only trick though.
  7. I wonder if that’s a mod Tom at Cog might be able to do.
  8. Nicolas bought my Doom. Very straightforward transaction with prompt payment and clear, friendly communication. Many thanks!
  9. Yep. Just been through this. Sold two basses, a Rhodes and a load of pedals to be able to do it. Still took a week to move.
  10. You’re in for a treat. It was designed by Mike Beigel who is the creator of the Mi-Tron III and the Q-Tron. They also go for for £80 and under.
  11. I’m really tempted to get a second one of these as they are so useful.
  12. Yes, it is a shame it’s so big. I tried the newer, smaller one but it didn’t sound as good. Have you tried the Q-Balls Enigma too? You can get all the Q-Tron sounds plus a ton more and that is a smaller pedal and takes standard 9V.
  13. Might have been the price, it was quite on the high side. I paid £80 for my Q-Tron.
  14. Funny, I did the exact same thing - sold my Wonderlove and kept my big box Q-Tron.
  15. Best to post this in the marketplace wanted ads instead. Also it’s “Xerograph” with an “r” not an “n” - it won’t turn up in searches if spelled incorrectly.
  16. The Doom has no gating. It’s quite middy compared to the Mastotron and is quite high gain past 9 o’clock. It’s a dynamic octave fuzz which responds to playing dynamics. Playing around and above the 12th fret yields an octave up overtone, moreso when rolling off the bass’s tone control. I’m finding it quite pleasing running my octave into the Doom, with a 60-40 wet-dry mix and then putting the Mastotron with subs on 3 in parallel to that. That tends to drive the envelope filter better. I’ve been running that all into a gating pedal to eliminate gain noise and high frequency noise from having the envelope in down seeep mode.
  17. Hopefully it’ll be me if someone will kindly buy my fretless Jazz.
  18. And presumably the second time around as I bought Andy’s Subterranea a while ago.
  19. Anyone else excited by this? At $5,999 for the 8-voice and $7,999 for the 16-voice version, it’s way out of my budget but I’m nonetheless excited that it’s finally a reality. Still hasn’t been announced on the Moog site but is available for preorder at Sweetwater: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MoogOne16--moog-one-16-voice-analog-synthesizer It looks beautiful and the specs sound phenomenal.
  20. Nah, The Netherlands has legal prostitution so there’s stiff competition.
  21. Is that donnerdeal.com?
  22. Where do you find these deals? I’d be up for trying the OC-10 for that money.
  23. Do you have one? If so, get on it. I’ve got a bunch of presets I’ve shared and I’ve just added a few new ones.
