FI has MIDI Thru on the MIDI out port. I don’t know about Stomp but I’d be surprised if it didn’t do the same. Setting up MIDI is remarkably easy. I came to it very late. The Morningstar controllers are a breeze to program.

There’s nothing to contradict, we’re merely expressing our opinions and preferences.

You can probably use your stomp to send PC messages to change patches on the FI. If you don’t have to make quick changes, you can double-tap the FI’s Program button to scroll down by 1. Obviously I’d recommend getting a Morningstar controller as it’ll unlock options on your FI and your Stomp.

Possibly. Try removing the detuning and see if the phasing stops. It’s normally more apparent in waves with more harmonic content but pretty sure two sine waves will do it too. Actually, there’s tuning variation across a couple of your waves so you will get some phase cancellation.
-
There is a channel 2 phase offset on the LFO. Have you got two saw waves slightly detuned? That will cause phasing.

@tonyxtiger was the guy who did the rental service. I used it a fair bit and it was great.

It totally depends on your use. For synth stuff, the FI is the winner. For envelope filter stuff, the C4 is superior. If the C4 ever gets full ADSR, some pulse width modulation, more than two instances of a given waveform and a better pitch and filter vibrato implementation then it’ll be a different story.
-
They do some things similarly but there’s plenty that each does that the other can’t. Totally worth having both.
-
Flanger is a variation of chorus so the the C4 doesn’t really do that. However, it does 2-, 4- and 6-stage phasers (though mislabelled in the lists) with ease and these are the same as in their Lunar/Gemini/Mercury.

@GisserD’s rehousing is fully reversible with no mods necessary so has no effect on resale value. I think the large box was a nod to the DI and partly conscious in order to have the foot switches far enough from the rotary encoder. I love the original box, reminds me of a retro arcade game housing.

Sounds like user error. The IN here is into the computer so of course needs to be plugged into the OUT port of the external device. Guess if you have an FI and it doesn’t work with it, you could return under distance selling rules.

It could definitely be smaller but it is what it is. There’s a solution out there if it really bothers you. For me, it’s an essential pedal so I just plan around it. Life’s too short.

Mount Rushmore (Top 4) Bass pedals of all time?
Quatschmacher replied to BadHands's topic in Effects
It’s not really bass specific (but I suppose neither are the others). Still debating, though it’s certainly a strong candidate. -
Yes, he invented it and it was released by Akai. There are obviously things which have been carried over, such as the form factor and hardware controls. That’s a pipe dream at this point. If you really want to hasten any potential development process then buying what’s currently available is the best way to support the company so that there’s capital to invest in future products. OK. We can always discuss the above on the FI thread.

Thanks. Sometimes these things take time. Remember Panda is literally Andras doing firmware and Zsolt doing the editor and both do lots of other work. On the plus side, you can now buy another used FI for way less than you sold your other ones.
