I’m a metal bassist myself and I feel the same sometimes but as I get older when I here someone’s else take on a song I think to myself it’s not better it’s just different . your bass playing makes you YOU never move from that path -
when ive been in stoner/doom type bands i prefer 45-105. when i had a t-bird i tried 50-110 but felt like the neck was going to snap, there was no middle ground that i could find

ive always worn t shirts but played an outdoor gig once and wore a long sleeve top under the t shirt for warmth, never again im quite a hard hitter and the shirt justy got on my chuffing nerves in the end, better to freeze
