  1. Thanks for the mention, I will always love that d.i. But I had to sell it so it would get used more. It was a long process to get it finished but well worth it. I will be playing the games room on Saturday at the brud so I will say hi.
  2. ha, The gt200mk2 and the mk1 are the best heads around. i started using a tronographic rusty box at my last gig at wickerman and it was perfect for the band i am in. i am in need of a 810 to own as i am borrowing all the time. the gt200 is again perfect but the only way for me to get a 810 is if i sell the gt200. My last comment got removed so i don't know if this is aloud? this is not an advert just chat.

  5. Basschat will not let me upload but i can email you
  6. Yeah you had a rickenbacker and a ampeg b15. your tone was great. that was with the Twilight Sad.
  7. It uses 3xECC83 JJ'S It has the Matamp mk2 preamp inside it. It used to have only two tubes inside it and it was first made with the gt200mk1 pre inside it. I got it rewired and got a new faceplate made for it as not only does it have more gain and bass than the mk1 it added the tube and middle knob. Type in Matamp bass on youtube and you can hear it with a travis bean and the pa only. I also had the back all modded. you used to have to plug into the front and patch your amp to the back of the d.i. the volume from it was insane so i got a rotary pad added. and made the other inputs easy to read for pre out and power amp out. The thru is at the front so you can patch in to the front of your amp. Plug in from the bass to the back input. I have lot's of photo's of the first build to the final build.
  8. Mogwai used it at Greenman festival in Wales last August. Dom Loved it so much he ordered one. Matamp can't make another the same as this as the special transformer inside it is a one off. It will be worth lot's of money in years to come.
  9. This was mine, I spent over £1200 getting it made so £450 is a great price. I sold it as i have stopped playing as much.
  10. I am selling a three month old EGC bass 500 all Aluminium. Pm me your email and i will send photos and info.
  11. Kt120's that is all. Matamp
  12. Yeah £1200 is a great price for a Matamp gt200 mk1. If peeps want a cheap amp then go get one. A used gt200 is still better than new amps made from rubbish parts for more than £1200 so if you want to get a Matamp then £1200 is a great price.
  13. I asked about the d.i. to go inside my new gt200 and they said they could not do it so they must love you more.
  14. Go with 2 x 410's also keep the 2x12 you have as miss matched gear looks great. if you sit the new gt200 on the flightcase plugged into the 2x12 then you have a wee monster of a rig and it still looks great. you can always shift one of the 4x10's if you don't need it. I love the design for the emperor 6x12 cabinets kicking around, i have thought about getting Matamp to make me a cab on the same setup but with tolex ect.
  15. I am sure the factory could make you a one off gt200 mk1 at your spec like the last one but lets all keep an eye out and hunt them down
  16. This would be perfect for peeps in the studio but i got it made because i was sick of sound engineers not wanting to use my mic and only use a d.i. so with this i could sound like a Matamp going through the p.a. The only reason i sold it was because i am not working.
  17. Those recordings were when i first got it with the old preamp inside it. there is a clip on youtube of it getting blasted through a p.a. with a travis bean.
