1. Just bought an Esh Various 4 from Ed, arrived in very good time and very good nick. Even came with a useful control card that I wasn't expecting! Top chap.
2. She turned up at work today and I'm now aching to get home and have a go! Had a sneaky play while the bosses weren't watching at least. Thank you very much for a speedy turn around and for dealing with my endless questioning! You're a true gent. The German army of basses is ever on the increase in my collection it would seem.
3. PM'd with a mountain of questions. Turns out being concise isn't my thing.
4. Had the same issue a couple of years back with my MKII. The power board was killed by a surge in the practice rooms. Had to send it off for repair, though I can't quite remember the price. It's behaved itself since at least.
5. The versatility from just an hour or so's playing around with it was rather impressive, I need to get some serious practice in and see what I can get out of it. Quite enjoying the maple neck as well, switching to slimmer necks from the 'wick standard is a great way of speeding yourself up! Steve, PM'd you the band's name but in case anyone else is interested I'll stick some stuff on here too! www.gonetilwinter.co.uk/ www.facebook.com/gonetilwintermusic And there's a video on Youtube, have a look for Gone til Winter and the track's called 'Hear Me'
6. I caved in and bought it... A wonderful instrument though and Steve's a lovely chap to deal with. Sorry for refusing brews, not normally like me, but didn't fancy getting caught short on the long(ish) trip home! She'll be getting an airing at practice tonight I believe.
7. As the sig probably gives away I'm a bit of an addict for 'wicks (and tend to buy bargain ones rather than new!). I know what you mean about the thumb neck dive issue, it can be a bit of a challenge. Any idea on the specs on this bass anyone?
8. Is the p'up positioning similar to a Thumb?
9. PM'd... Would this actually satisfy my current Jazz lust?
10. Buy in confidence from this guy, he's a good man!
11. Bought a bass driver DI off him the other day. Everything went smoothly, the new toy arrived in excellent time and in full working nick! The dude was a complete gent and covered postage as well! Cheers Danny!

Hope to see some people down.
13. Bought a Markbass F1 from David, excellent communication throughout the process (despite my general faffing around due to work at the time), product arrived as described in good time barring a cockup from Royal Mail which David handled and refunded me for. A top notch chap!
14. Nice to see another person going to witness the madness!
15. Also some bad news: Unfortunately the gig at the Witchwood in Ashton with Forever Never has had to be cancelled. This is due to an issue beyond the control of the bands, hopefully we'll get to reschedule and see you there again soon! On the plus side, Stoke is still going ahead. Unless, of course, it's incinerated before Thursday or something...
16. Cheers man, Jonathan's doing very well. He got engaged to Rachel this weekend too!
17.
The biggest difference on the two is that the Streamer has the maple neck, it definately comes through in the tone. A lot more bite and overall the instrumement feels a bit more trebley. I would go for a Streamer!
oooh, i never even realised the $$ streamer had a maple neck.
18. I've still got one of these, lovely bass if a little weighty. Fantastic passive tone from it, nice feeling neck too. They were made in Korea I believe...
