  1. Sold my black Stingray with maple neck a year ago......& regretted it ever since. I prefer a rosewood fingerboard over a maple one as well. Very tempted by this one!! 😍
  2. It's criminal that this bass is sat in box in the corner of my music room unplayed. Now open to sensible offers before it get's posted on a well known auction site.
  3. I may hold you to that Alan 😂😂 To be honest i'm a bit surprised it's still here, It's a little beauty, just not for me. There's a lefty one on Ebay where the seller's asking for £675, although it does have a case, so the one i'm selling must be a absolute bargain!! 😉
  4. You haven't been able to order a left handed SWB from Chowny since last summer, so to be honest i'm a bit surprised this is still up for sale. If you're looking for a short scale bass, look no further.
  5. I know that Andy's only recently joined the world of Basschat, & i'm more than happy to kick off his feedback. I've just purchased a Barefaced Super Compact cab off Andy. It was a smooth transaction with the cab arriving a day earlier than expected which was an added bonus 😃 I have no hesitation in recommending Andy 👍
  6. Hi, After purchasing this Chowny SWB Pro off @whynot at the beginning of October i have made the decision that short scale isn't for me, so have made the decision to move it on. I haven't gigged with it, but it has been gigged by it's previous owner, and is in very good condition with no visible dings or dents. It is currently strung through the bridge with very light gauge strings, as opposed to through the body. I also have the heavier gauge strings that it came off the production line with courtesy of @whynot which are included in the sale. With it being strung through the bridge when i received the bass the string retainers on the back of the bass had been removed & put in a bag. I have put them back in to take the photo's but I will do the same if i need to ship. I suspect the previous owner did this to prevent them being lost. I know at the present time Chowny have suspended making left handed models, as i made an enquiry at the beginning of September, & looking at the Chowny website you still cannot order left handed models. So grab yourselves a bargain why you can. The price includes shipping within the United Kingdom. For collection i'll look at reducing the price to £450. 7. Cheers, hopefully someone who's got a Magellan will come along soon & be able to confirm the PSU. This is why I usually keep the cable pertaining to my amp in my amp bag. Lol.
  8. Hi, I was wondering if someone who has a Genzler Magellan amp could help me & have a look at what power supply lead was supplied with the unit. I usually keep it separate in my amp bag, but my son has been across this afternoon to PAT test our gear & put all the kettle leads into our PA box. There's a newish looking one with a 3 amp fuse & i was wondering if it was that one?? If someone who has a Magellan could have a look for me or better still take a photo of said lead i would be grateful. Cheers Graham

  10. Hi, I'm looking to sell my back up amp a Markbass Blackline 250. It's been mainly used in the house & although i've taken to gigs in a carrying bag it's never been taken out & used in anger. It does have a couple of marks on it which can been seen in the photo's, underneath the unit & a couple on the back Collection preferred although I've still got the original box so can post if required. Thanks
  11. Shame you're not a lefty, i'm on the lookout for a Bongo 4 😞

  13. After a recent purchase of a Genzler Magallen 800 & a TKS cab ( Thanks Gilly 👍 ), i'm now looking at moving along my old gigging rig a Markbass CMD 121P & NY121 extension. Both are the older made in Italy models. The CMD 121P is 2013, & i assume the extension cab is the same as both were bought new at the beginning of 2014. They are in good condition despite being my main gigging rig for the last few years. They come complete with padded Hotcovers, & i'll even throw in a Markbass stand & a spare handle with the CMD 121P. Although I would prefer to sell as complete rig with cash on collection i will consider splitting in which case i would be looking at £425 for the CMD 121P ( with Markbass Stand & spare handle ) & £250 for the NY121 Thanks for looking

    GILLY

Just purchased a TKS cab off Gilly. Good communication and a trouble free transaction. The cab came the next day and was well packaged. I can highly recommend Gilly.
  15. I don't think you can really beat the Player for value for money. I originally had a Stingray & the US Precision, but moved the Stingray on. The sale did fund the purchase of the Player, however i'm now having a slight case of sellers regret. Lol
  16. For the price I'd have to agree with you rogerstodge, the Player does represent excellent value for money👍 My thoughts are, looks wise they're very similar despite the price difference, both are pretty lightweight. There of course are difference's which I would expect considering that the Professional is more than double the price of the Player. Not that you would probably notice playing down the Dog & Duck on a Saturday night. The Player has a slimmer neck profile less chunky compared to the US. Sound wise the Player sounds brighter, more modern if you know what I mean, probably down to the maple neck & less vintage sounding pickups. I'm playing in three piece covers band & I'm now wondering if the more modern sound is more suited to the material we play 🤔
  17. My two current basses, a Fender US Professional Precision in Olympic White & a recently purchased Fender Player Precision in Tidepool. I bought the Player as back up, but to be honest I've been taking it to my recent gigs. Loving the slightly more modern sound & slimmer neck profile 🙂
  18. Hi, i was wondering if you could post / message me the sound clips of this amp preferably in a gig setup if you have any. In my band i currently run a Markbass CMD 121P with a NY121 which i DI into a PA, & would like to hear how they compare. Also do you know if the DI runs pre or post EQ as there doesn't appear to be a selector button. Thanks Graham
