  1. Joined the Sandberg club during the week with this left handed Sandberg California TT4. Gigged with it last night, sounded a lot punchier than the Fender Jazz I previously owned. Loving the neck profile which somewhere between a P bass & Jazz bass. It makes two hour plus gigs so much more enjoyable. One happy chap 😀
  2. Hi, I'm looking at moving on my left handed Fender American Professional Jazz in Sonic Grey The bass comes complete with it’s hard case, & is fitted with dunlop strap locks ( will include the strap attachments ), although the original strap locks will be included. Condition wise the bass is in VGC, although it has been gigged. There is a small indentation on the top of the fretboard around the 8th fret, thanks to an over exuberant punter knocking over a microphone stand onto me at a gig, although it's barely noticeable & doesn't effect the playability of the bass. There is also a small indentation on the pick guard cover at the truss rod opening. I've included photo's of both of these. Weight wise it’s coming in at 3.9kg on a set of bathroom scales. Only looking to sell in the UK, & collection preferable. I am also willing to meet up within a reasonable distance of the Middlesbrough / Teesside area. Thanks for looking.
  3. Hi, I'm looking at moving on my left handed Musicman Sterling 4H. The bass was manufactured in November 2020, & I purchased the bass from Thomann's in January 2021. When I received the bass I discovered that the phantom coil had come away from the bottom of the pickup. I emailed Strings & Things & received a replacement pickup from EBMM a few weeks later. In the meantime I glued the original pickup which has remained intact, however the replacement pickup will be included in the sale. The bass comes complete with it’s hard case, which hasn't left the house as i use a mono gig bag, & is fitted with dunlop strap locks ( will include the strap attachments ), although the original strap locks will be included. Condition wise the bass is in VGC, although it has been gigged. It has a small indentation to the headstock & small marks on the upper part of the body. I’ve included photographs of these. Weight wise it’s coming in at 4.1kg on a set of bathroom scales. Only looking to sell in the UK, & collection preferable. I am also willing to meet up within a reasonable distance of the Middlesbrough / Teesside area. Thanks for looking. 4. Back up for sale....yeah i know....i used to be indecisive once, but now i'm not too sure 😂
  5. Withdrawn from sale - I've been having a re-think about putting this bass up for sale. Knowing that left handed USA Sterling's are rarer than hens teeth i'm going to give it a few more gigs & then see how i feel about it after that, rather than suffering a bout of sellers remorse.
  6. Hi @kevham, no worries. I've had someone contact me from the USA expressing an interest, but i'd rather keep the sale within the UK 👍
  7. Hi @kevham, yes, seeing that you're in Scotland, i'd be okay with meeting up 👍

  9. After sleeping on it I’ve decided to keep hold of my Super Compact. Now withrawn from sale.
  10. As far as i know it is. It was sold to me as a generation 3 which have those drivers. I bought it from a fellow basschatter @Andy Vincentin December 2019 ( He had 2 x for sale ) Here's a link to his advert
  11. If you want make me an offer, i could still be tempted to sell it 😉
  12. I've been mulling over this since i posted this add. In reflection it's always good to have a spare cab, & it might come in useful just for home practice or carting along to the other band members homes when we learning new songs. Please can i withdraw this item from sale. Thanks
  13. Hi, I have a Barefaced Super Compact cab ( generation 3 ) which has now become surplus to requirements after upgrading to a super twin. I bought this cab in December 2019 off a fellow basschater @Andy Vincent I've gigged the cab up until covid struck then like everyone else all our gigs were cancelled. During lockdown i decided to double the fun & purchased a super twin, so this cab is now sitting in a corner of the room unused. It is in good condition with a metal grilled front, & comes with a Hot Covers cover. Full specifications can be seen on the Barefaced website. For sale in UK only i'm afraid, as i went through the pain of importing something from Germany earlier this year. Would prefer collection from the Teesside area, as i don't have any suitable boxes to courier. Thanks for looking
  14. After selling my Stingray a couple of years ago, i'm now back in the Musicman fold with this recent addition 😊
  15. Posted in the lefties gallery, so thought i'd post here as well. My recent addition to the fold 😊
  16. Here's my recent purchase, a Musicman Sterling with a lovely roasted maple neck 😊
  17. I'm coming around to the same conclusion to be honest. Even if could find someone to do it why should i pay seeing it's a brand new instrument, hence the email to Thomann's. I'm looking at e-mailing S&T in the morning & seeing whether their tech would sort if for me under warranty, or if they had anyone closer to home. If i was to send it to S&T it would have to be couriered again, but at least it would be in the UK. I'll go down route of not wanting to void the warranty on a brand new instrument. You might as well, at least you know whether there's anything wrong with it at the point of despatch. Thankfully i did take pictures of the boxes when it arrived, but there was nothing untoward, no marks on the case, or any other issues as far as i can see. EBMM were quick to say they would send a replacement pickup out, so perhaps looking at the picture i sent maybe they can see a fault with it.
  18. I think it's soldering by the looks of it. I was thinking of a place up near me called "Nigel's Guitar Workshop" in Richmond, he's replaced a Stingray pickup for me before in the past. Depends if he's taking work on due to Covid though, i know he wasn't last Summer. The other option would be to email Strings & Things again, & see if it needs to be replaced by a licenced Musicman tech, & if they had any up near to where i lived. I've emailed Thomann's, so they are aware. They intially asked for photo's of the boxes etc & mentioned returning the item, as they couldn't replace it. Since then i discovered it was the phantom coil, i have sent a further email explaining this & that EBMM are going to send out a replacement. I have asked if they would be willing to refund me a small amount off the price i paid to reflect having this work carried out as a goodwill gesture. I'm still waiting for a reply.
  19. They must have read your mind, just had an email from Strings & Things advising me that EBMM USA are sending out a replacement pickup 👍
