How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

Thanks John. She's a real find, I had to concentrate extra hard at the audition because I just wanted to listen to her singing! -

Thanks Blue, certainly hope so. It's been so long since I was in a startup band that I'd forgotten how much work it is to get those first gigs with venues. -

New band is at the 'record some stuff to show venues and get gigs' stage. So we did. Go pro in the corner, silent-ish rehearsal with everything into the desk. Run a few takes of each track and pick the best one. The drummer has just finished giving it a bit of a polish and syncing the audio & video up. I think he's done a pretty good job: -
This is why we drive the van isn't it? I'm very conscious of my ability (I try to join bands with better musicians to make me focus and improve). So I try to add value where I can. In my last band, I booked the gigs, did the socials, stored & set up the PA and did the sound. Never cancelled a gig or practice because of me either. Control freak? Moi?

I've got an old h5 kicking around in the 'might come in useful' cupboard if you want an extended borrow?

I picked up a GR bass 2 x 10 on here a while back. It weighs about 8kg, even lighter than the barefaced stuff I've had before. They do a 2 x 12 in the same range which can't weigh much more. Sounds great too.

Bloody great, it does the jazzy/funky thing excellently, and the neck pickup does a pretty decent p impression when you select the coil tap. Thanks for the prompt/excuse to post a couple of rehearsal recordings with my band: Listen to ttfc practice 20241008 - Waterfalls.mp3 by Tea Time Funk Club on #SoundCloud https://on.soundcloud.com/fPFTr Listen to ttfc practice 20241008 - American Boy.mp3 by Tea Time Funk Club on #SoundCloud https://on.soundcloud.com/xCAgY -
Final basschat only bargainous price of £850. I also quite fancy a 4 or 5 string jazz type bass, so if you've got something to trade let me know. Sandberg TT / Vincent Metropol or other lightweight 34" scale type things please. Not after amps/cabs etc thanks. Bought on here a couple of months ago, it's everything I was looking for - lightweight, ebony board, passive, sounds fabulous, looks superb in oly white. But for some reason I'm just not quite gelling with the 35" scale, so my loss will be somebody else's gain. The body is light weight chambered alder, weight is 4.1kg. Pickups are Delano SBC with coil taps and passive v/b/t wiring. Hardware is Maruszczyk's own. Comes with a Maruszczyk gig bag. The bass was originally a 2020 fretless order and has been converted superbly - the fret tangs have been hidden so as not to interfere with the side dots that served as fret position markers. I've added some adhesive dots to the middle of the frets (the bigger dots in the pics) just for my own sanity, but these come off with no trace. I'll also swap my strap lock black pins back to the originals. It's in superb condition, I can't see any marks apart from a little light swirling on the pickguard. The neck is a thing of beauty. I've put a fresh set of Newtone strings on that have had maybe 3 - 4 hours play time. I won't be gutted if it doesn't sell. Sound clips (with complimentary dodgy playing) here and here. Trials, tyre kicking, cups of tea/coffee and collection welcome at mine in South Manchester. Postage available at buyers risk and choice of courier/level of insurance etc. It will be well packed in the gig bag and then boxed.

Whereas I'm going the other way. New band is just keys, drums, bass vox so no noisy guitars to hide behind. Every little mistake is on full show and some of the stuff is pretty challenging. The bass is rising so I can get my technique more nailed on. Got a wider strap for the Maruszczyk, which means that this mono is going spare.

Mono Betty M80 Short Strap. In good used condition. The ends have got a couple of straplock marks but that's pretty much it. The stitching on the pick pocket on the back of the strap is coming away slightly (see pics). £35 posted to you. All proceeds from the sale go towards @AndyTravis house mods. Either send me the cash and I'll donate or DM me proof of donation (please make sure we've agreed a sale first - I don't want to get more than one message about a donation when I've only got the one strap). Cheers Andy
