Nice Jazz, I think that's one of the lightest 'relics' I've seen on a Limelight.
I was surprised how light it was too. Looking at all the pics on here I was expecting it to be more beaten up and I was initially a bit disappointed that it wasn't,but it's really grown on me the more I use it.

Had mine for a couple of months now. It's taken me a bit to get used to the thicker vintage style neck and I still haven't quite got the action spot on, but it is a very lovely thing indeed and has had a fair few compliments on appearance already. Andy

Fender Precision Special PJ - a P body with a J width maple neck. This is a 1998 MIM passive version bought a few years ago from this parish. A lovely bass with a great low action, but GAS struck and it's one in one out at Colley towers so no trades thanks. It's CAR with a black pick guard - I also have the original anodised gold one and Gotoh 201 bridge (again, I have the original Fender BBOT if you prefer). I had the pickups upgraded to Wizards by Steve Robinson (Manchester Guitar Tech) a while ago but must have reused or sold the originals. This means that the gold guard doesn't quite fit over the pups in the bass, but the black one in the pics fits fine. It's in good condition, a couple of minor headstock dings, one small paint chip on the underside and one slightly bent elephant ear - all present when I bought the bass. I've tried to show them in the pics. I'm based in South Manchester and would MUCH prefer meet up to sell. I can travel reasonable distances for petrol or buyer is welcome to arrange own courier. Anyway, pics:

Funny things that people say to you at gigs
colleya replied to Tom Brookes Music's topic in General Discussion
Playing in a classic rock covers band a few years ago at a full on rock pub. It should have been a perfect fit but for whatever reason the crowd weren't warming to us. Towards the end of the second set, a massively drunken bloke stumbles across the dance floor between songs and yells: "You're better than this!" We weren't. Andy -
Got my L2500 trib from GBBL a year and a bit ago and have been delighted with it. I use it almost exclusively in passive and still had to drop the pups to tame it! It sounds immense through my LM2 and BF compact, but last night at rehearsal I plugged it through my new Tonehammer 500 and it was another level - try that combination if you get the chance. Andy

The bass arrived yesterday but I only got to unbox it today. It is a very lovely thing indeed and really growls (I didn't understand what people meant by that until this afternoon) even at house volume. Couldn't get any better pics than the ones from Mark a few posts up, but I'm a happy boy
Lucky you. Mine (#00148) has been travelling all over England and didn't even leave for the mainland yet. It's going to take all of next week to arrive, i presume...
That sucks! Hope it finds its way home soon. Cracking colour.
Lucky you colleya - don't forget to post pics when it arrives ... so I can feel jealous!
Your wish is my command, got a few more pics from Mark. I changed my mind about 10,000 times on the colour combo before I finally pushed the button but just couldn't get past Oly/Tort/Rw. No problem with going further out either. Blueprint has good free parking after 6 on weeknights, not sure about weekends. It's also close to Victoria for train & tram and there's a pub across the road. As far as my experience of rehearsal rooms go, it's very nice - as our singer said "it's even got girls' toilets!". It was just the first place that came to mind when I saw 'Manchester'. There are however a few of the dreaded stairs! *hides*

Would be up for this if I can sort babysitting! Blueprint studios is a nice central place with good facilities.
You are obviously childless!
Nope! Two and five. I've been a good boy though and done all my half term homework early so I have a bit of time in the evening to browse. It's proving dangerous to the wallet!
-
Patience is a virtue.
Yep, suppose I've just got too much thinking time on my hands as it's half term! Got my first gig in ages this weekend to take my mind off it though
-
Thought as much. Given the amount of traffic on here he must be a busy man so I'll leave him to it. Cheers fellas.

Soooooo..... How long is long enough to leave it between placing your order and following up with a casual 'how's it going' email? Put mine in at the start of January so it should be working its way up the queue but all these pics are giving me itchy fingers!
-
Sounds lovely. I should have put the order in for my P ages ago, but I just can't make my mind up on the colour! It was going to be Oly, then LPB, but now I like the idea of charcoal frost. Gah!
I was the same but then kept going back to pics of your old Jazz on this thread so I emailed one to Mark basically saying "This please". Will hopefully be hearing some murmurs in the next few weeks

Put my deposit down on a 63 jazz a couple of weeks ago. Mark said the lead time was roughly 12 weeks but he hoped it would be a bit less.
