  1. About two years ago I picked up a passive SGC Nanyo fretless bass collection which a mate had left standing in the corner of his shed for two yesrs without even a case. I gave him £100, took it home, and a few hours of dismantling, WD40 and cleaning later it was great, despite all the signs! I decided to stick a Wizard P/J pickup set in it and we've done a lot of gigs together since! Not sure it even classes as budget when you take into account the p/ups too, but worth an honourable mention in the 'basses back from the dead' section!
  2. Ha ha - the Axe basses and guitars! I'd forgotten about them. A friend i was jamming with in school at the time had one and it was dreadful. At the time (1987/88ish) I'd just got rid of my first bass, which was by far the worst bass i'd ever owned - a short-scale white Satellite. It didn't even have a model number, and it was bloody awful with a neck like a banana which made it impossible to play. I was stuck with it for a year before trading it in for a Westone Spectrum which was way better! Most disappointing - i have a say Thunderbird. Always been top of my 'lust after' list, and when i eventually got one I hated it. Still think they're the coolest looking basses ever, but i just couldn't make it work for me. I still go gooey when i see a nice one, and have to urge myself not to go there!
  3. Indeed - apologies for the change of heart nottswarwick! It's a very fine bass tho - happy playing! Cheers mate
  4. Thanks Big Bass Man! I've been a big P bass fan for the last 20 years or so and this one ticks a whole load of boxes as a welcome addition to my bass family
  5. i'll take this please! PM sent
  6. Have a free bump - you can hear how loud/wholesome that rig is going to be just by looking at it. I have a richardd's old Aguilar 4x10 and they're immense cabs.
  7. PRICE DROP - will take £180 for this for a quick sale
  8. Bump - first decent offer gets this.
  9. Bump for a great little pedal
  10. Hi all, Up for sale is a Boss RC-30 loopstation plus the additional FS-6 footswitch. I got these both less than six months ago for a solo project but it never really came off, so they've been used at the grand total of two polite acoustic gigs. They are in absolutely mint condition and perfect working order as a result. The RC-30 is one of Boss's current models, and has dual looping tracks, up to three hours recording time, 99 presets, on board effects etc etc. The FS-6 control pedal allows switching between the two tracks or triggering the effects - a lot easier than doing it on the RC-30 itself! New, the RC-30 costs £275 and the FS-6 £45. I'm looking for SOLD PENDING for the both, and I'll even chuck in a couple of the stereo patch leads which connect the two, plus a full set of batteries for the RC-30.
  11. Keen to shift this now as just got Boss chorus pedal from another Basschatter, so this one now redundant and unloved any sensible offers?
  12. Just bought a boss pedal from Damon. All good, arrived quickly and all round easy bloke to deal with. Happy to buy from him again.
