  1. Obligatory 'how long since I bumped this' bump
  2. I want this so bad! Been watching it since it first went up! Any trades in mind or straight sale?
  3. Put the amps behind the drummer so he gets a trickle of everything, don't start volume wars! The quieter everything is, the easier it is to hear everything! This does not work for drums unless you have the screens set up around them, obviously not doable unless you're loaded lol. If you can, take a minute to jam through a couple of choruses to set up what you lot can hear before the sound guy starts checking individual sounds (also not always doable) Also raising the bass amp towards ear level helps, not so much with the guitars as they naturally cut through more anyway. Other than that just get out gigging and see what works for you guys!
  4. I feel it's the ultimate in flexibility! The only thing I feel I'm missing to get ANY tone would be a graphic eq on them both, but that's just getting silly now isn't it! Lol John entwistle (I think) ran a guitar distortion for top, and just straight DI to a PA eq section to exact the bass end. For me, the sansamp rpm is plenty fat enough anyway, as long as the blend is no more than half way! I am however, one of these bass players that will never be happy without a 15" driver for the bass end! I tried the guitar head and cab thing, but I much prefer the RBI into a sealed 10s cab
  5. Trouble is if you don't eq them differently, I scoop out the frequencies that my drive channel uses on the clean. I wouldn't want to cart around 2 heavy heads, I use 2 sansamps, and it fits nicely into a (reasonably) light 6u rack. The trouble is if you roll up to a gig with one borrowed bass cab, I just stick the clean through it cause I like to feel my low end!
  6. like i said when you came round mate, i have the g90 (for bass, obviously) my brother has the g50 for guitar and neither of us has had a problem after a year of ownership, i keep mine racked up, and even use it at practice stood right next to it! yes it does improve the tone - certainly from the 30' leads i was using!
  7. just found out this will be about £25 to post, so going to drop to £90 plus delivery or collection!
  8. Clue is in the name - slinkys! I tried a set and took them straight off, no where near the tension of rotos or boomers You could always go for a 105, but I still didn't find them to have anything to them

    Bass filth

From what I've heard of the first 2, they are good for full on distortion/ overdrive, I have the hyperdrive and it's designed for more grit than ott stuff
  10. Wasn't the punisher designed to sit horizontally when he gets lifted up to the rafters?
  11. I personally don't like to combine drivers without splitting signal. I like the way the 15 splits really low with high mids I don't like the 410hlf, seems to do REALLY low, almost boom with a normal 410 sound on top the 210 gives a lot of punch but not much bass The 410he is a nice all rounder, more "round" sounding than the rest! So depends what you're after, personally, with one tone, a 410he with a 210 on top Sure there will be as many opinions as people though!

  13. I'm hoping the cort punisher lives up to the original! It's a superb instrument that everyone who's played it loves!! Stick emg's in it! Lol
  14. thanks very much buddy, yeah i'll come down at some point, hope the tour is going well! plus bump for straight swap option - bongo 5hh or hs! tried one and GOOD GOD!
  15. This band are ace! Lots of love from NG26!
  16. Thanks for these mate, very in depth! Have you tried the 810 btw? Is it the typical old school fridge sound?
