1. Scavenger's Daughter require top bassist for South East based band. Gigs waiting, aiming for min 1 a month. We cover Maiden, Priest, Queensryche, Metallica to a very high standard and feature members ex of Tygers Of Pan Tang, Angel Witch, Shadowkeep and Blaze Bayley Band. This is a popular metal juggernaut so not for flakes. Stayers only need apply. Who has what it takes?
2. Is it Graham who's left? I bought some serious gear off him this year, nice guy. My CV's in!!
3. How much Peter?
If your musings leads you in the direction of Line6's BassPod XT Live I'm not using mine and could be persueded to part company with it. Peter
4. I absolutely categorically want to buy your Korg Rackmount 2000 tuner. How would you like to proceed?
5. Hi, First if you're starting out I'd stick to FOUR strings before you go to 5. Second, if you have £300 only to spend then buy a better quality 2nd hand instrument because as you get better the shortcomings of a cheap tool will really start to put you off where you should be getting inspiration. Playing the bass is an art, every time you open your case should feel like the first time. Trust me, you'll be glad you didn't buy a donkey when you're flying up the neck in front of an appreciative audience. Try the Warwick Rockbasses or the Corts. Nice mid priced basses with plenty of character and usability. Hope that helps.
6. Hi All, Ok, I have recently bought a CORT version of the Axe Bass and I have to say it rocks. Would be looking to put EMG's in it soon but I wondered if anyone else has bought one and thought: 1 - This bass is 100% neck heavy to the point it's wearing out my index pinkie just holding it up. 2 - I like the pick ups but it struggles against the tones of my EMG's in my No.1 instrument 3 - Should I have bought a Punisher instead, Gene obviously prefers them for the reason 1 above. Anyway, has anyone else bought one of these and modified it in any way so the balance is better and perhaps put active pups in there? Surely I'm not the only one???
7. Ello again, Yep THE Angel Witch. I took on the Warwick rig as an endorsee and blew 3 15" cabs as a result of incorrect ohmage (their fault not mine). That's why I ended up with the 2 x 4x10's. Everything is as it should be compatibility wise. I remember someone from Dana B.Goode in USA saying 'well, turn your bass down!' Duh, we're a metal band, I wanna move mountains not splat like an old slipper! Who would you recommend in the South East to take it to? It clearly needs a doctor, right?
8. Hi, Thanks for the note. It's definately not the obvious possibilities (leads, unseated valves etc.) it used to happen all the time when I was in Angel Witch but we rehearsed SO loud I just thought the amp was protecting it's self before I blew it up overdriving it. It happened however at a recent gig with another band on the 2 hour mark and the mute light came on, again I assume it's protecting it's self but cutting out altogether seems to be a harsh thing to build into an amp's behavious just because I'm driving it too hard. Could it be a setting issue? There is still power to everything when it goes silent. It just stays that way for a minute then comes back. I'm barely on a third voulume when it goes.
9. Hi, I have a Quad VI 600W amp running through two 4x10 with attenuators, at the time the only compatible cabs Warwick did for this head. Now I LOVE this amp, great sound, great look, but it is prone to cut out when I'm really going for it. Any advice (DO NOT SAY BUY AN AMPEG!!) I'm trying to resolve an issue not sell and try something else. I was just wondering if any other Warwick users have experienced the same issues...
10. Oi!! Who's side are you on!!!! Pay no attention to that last poorly timed comment James, I have your money, you could be counting it this time tomorrow Mr Seller. Text me on 07919 214435. Ta.
11. Actually could defo pick up tomorrow now. How shall we hook up?
12. Hi mate. I do indeed want it. I'm playing Brightona tomorro in Hove, alternatively I can pick up next Friday (better for me). Is that ok?
13. Well I'm really interested, would you be able to message me personally?
