I find most of the pick snobbery comes from people who can't use one, I'm not as proficient as I am with fingers but I can hold my own. In covers situations I like to throw out the idea of "my sound" and go for pick, slap, fingers etc to help get the sound for the song suitable. That said some bands can pull off doing a covers set in their style, most can't.

I hope you have learnt everything in them all!

Ahh it looks like they have just rebadged the knobs from compression to smooth and depth to notch?

I won't be having a full volume practice for two weeks now but I'm hoping they will work, does the newer Fishman have the notch filter?

They sit quite well actually, just been playing acoustically to see what effect they have, the bass side is the side that I think will help most but it's all sub frequencies so acoustically you can't hear much difference, the treble side makes quite a lot of difference and some farting noises, not a problem once hooked up via piezo though so let's hope they work!

Check out my blocking F holes thread! Hopefully they will solve my issues. I have messed about with the Fishman but I am not great with EQ settings as a rule My version of the Fishman does not have a notch filter afaik? only the phase switch and the EQ settings.

A seperate Class D head is a winner IMO, you can take the head anywhere if you can beg a cab for the show, get a small 2x10 cab for gigs that can only be reached by train etc with no cab to use onsite, then get a big cab (4x10, 2x12, 8x10 or whatever) for the gigs you can drive to.

Kind of Clover but probably not.

From what you said I knew it was going to be no power as such rather than a blown preamp, dodgy jack gives the same result as it does not connect the battery but does connect in a fashion to the controls still, cool.
