1. Fair price if you are financially liquid, current and trading in the vintage market.
2.
You could easily make a board to attach your pedals to which would sit inside and be removable for use.
Exactly.
3.
I'm still trying to find someone who can make me one of these....
Your dreams have come true: Www.guitardecals.co.uk
4. American express cards. Or other similar plastic cards, hotel keycards etc...sorry rough editing to remove my name and card number in the pic.... Picks are punched with a Pickmaster, and smoothed with emery board for nails. Works a charm, all I use these days and have done so for more than a year now.
5.
Not sure those hinges are the removable lid type either, so that will still be attached when its open
You want a set of Eventide pedals and a Voodoo Labs power supply too for £15?

7. It's a good preamp. I have one, and it compares nicely with the Alembic F-1X and the Demeter VTBP 201. It is a bit more scooped and the top end is little present than the Alembic or Demeter's capabilities and it gets the thick beefy buttery tone that's great for recording. The distortion is alright i think , overly criticised for no reason, mostly by people who want a really want a fuzz box.

9. While you are at it you might as well change the TL072s in there, there are probably 8. A better spec BurrBrown or Analog Devices chip or even a Philips 5532 will lower the idle noise considerably, by about 10dB, anecdotally. (It is a very perceivable difference, it will sound like Dolby NR switched on if you are old enough to remember Dolby).
10.
Nice lookin basses. I had one of these back in the 80's but it was stolen in Bradford.
How odd, I had one I defretted and it was stolen in Liverpool in 1991. It was a nice sounding bass.
11. The best places and best prices I've found for rubber feet are my local market DIY shops, the local markets where you get cheap clothes, bags, butchers etc....Way cheaper and same stuff as Maplins etc. They usually also have more variety of sizes.
12. Write to G&L. When I had a G&L they sent me a new nut for free.
13.
Why?
Fender used a brass metal strap, not tape, from my recollection. Presumbably because it is stiffer, stronger and adhesive metallic tape was probably not readily available at the time. That said, I used thin 6mm wide copper tape on my '62 RI Jazz. Works perfectly and 'looks' correct. A replacement strap is available to vintage spec if you are worried about being correct to orig. spec. http://angela.com/ja...ndingstrap.aspx You could buy a sheet here and cut it yourself. This fella on ebay sells 6mm copper tape really cheap: http://tinyurl.com/cel3mss
14. Bought a bass from me, not advertised, smooth transaction all the way, great bass player.
15. Fretfx is very good. Roz is a very helpful fella, he made me some custom stuff for headless basses, Parker fly headstock etc..about 3 custom sets.... I gave him no end of design grief. LOL. He now has a different battery setup and I'd get a new one having seen his update on his website. FYI, mine were purchased when it was known as Hotdotz and that was some 8 years ago. They still work very well.
16. Mousemat foam is neoprene. You can use any compressible material as long as you are happy with the 'give', or spring reflex.
17. There are many ways to read " Bass player wanted for free..."
18. Gwilym knows his stuff. Excellent bc'er.
