3. Regarding pickuos on these models, 55-02, 44-02, 55-94, 44-94. Can anyone tell me what difference there is in tone between the newer Lakland pickups they now use compared to the Bart pickups they used befor. Also what tonal diferences with the new Lakland LH3 preamp compared to the previous Bart preamp. I've owned 2 x 55-02's & a 55-94 all with Bart pups & am concidering a new 44-02 which has the Lakland coponents but unfortunatly have no chance of trying one. Any help would be well apreciated, thanks, Rob.
4.
Nick from Nicks guitars had something similar but only 4H he has "people" in the States and gives a one on one service so he would be my first port of call, He has a knack for finding special stingrays and plays them himself so knows a good one from a bad one. Worth a ring IMO.
Thanks Pete, Just droped Nick an email, notice he's getting a single H BFR Ltd in soon, hopfully he can get a HH version. Cheers, Rob.
5. I'm after a Musicman Stingray 4HH Ltd Edition that has the black body, ebony board & BFR roasted finish figured neck. Superb necks. These were yet again another limited model run of 200 back in August last year. Bass Central USA has one but they are not allowed to export them, great. Anybody know a UK shop or outlet that might get one over here, I'm running out of options so any help would be apreciated. Cheers, Rob.

7. Just a quick note regarding the pickups, they are not the later SCN pickups you state but the Noisless Vintage that were put on the slightly earlier model yours is & IMO are the best Jazz pups out there. I had one of these, an 02 QMT & it was absolutly fantastic on tone & build quality, loads of tone & headroom with the 18v 3eq & also very light at 8.6 lbs. Only reason for selling mine was I had 2, my other being a Custom Shop Deluxe & thats a keeper (also with the Noisless vintage pups). I bought my QMT several years back s/h for £1100 & gave it away for £840. Good luck with the sale & whoever gets this will be a very lucky person.
8. Has anyone got or tried one of the new 2010 American Precision Deluxe's. It would be very usefull to have an idea of how they sound, compare & feel.
9. Nearly my ideal bass, love the colours of the sunburst finish & the darker aged headstock colour. Love the P body, P/J pup configuration & rosewoood bound jazz neck. Now if this was around 8.6 lbs in weight, hmmm could well be tempted. To me, the one big down side is I hate twin volume pots & single tone pot, I'd realy want one vol, one pan, one tone, so much easier to tweek whilst playing live. Isnt it about time too that Fender started offering a darker tinted headstock on all their basses, just hate the bright pale maple look. Been concidering getting a nice sunburst P bodied P/J with bock jazz neck for quite a while. Seen quite a few P/J precisions but nothing that realy fits my ideal. Guess I'll just have to put one together in time.
10. Just love all those knobs & buttons, could spend hours & hours fiddling with the tones. Would be interesting to here what you thought of the tone options although I guess as your selling it then perhaps its not for you. Lovely flame & colour on the top too. If I win the Lottery ! Good luck with the sale, cheers, Rob.
11. Might concider PX for early 70's P bass, Gibson T Bird or Gibson Les Paul Bass, with cash adjustment, cheers, Rob.
12. Lots of interest & offers, nearly there, also might concider a PX against a nice old 70's Precision with cash adjustment. Idealy sunburst with rosewood board. Not a heavy one. Cheers, Rob.
13. Hi Hoffbass, PM sent, its a 2002 bass as the add states, beautifull condition, the neck is like velvet & plays like a dream, still got the protective plastic on the back cavaty cover too.
