Hi guys, I was looking a while ago at getting one of these for my Jazz bass but it seemed the only place to buy them was the USA, and they were out of stock at the time so I gave up. I recently looked again and it looks like they now have an official UK stockist. Has anyone bought anything from this site? http://www.tonestyler.co.uk Cheers!
email him and say it's for a piezo though.... depending if you've already put the pizo signal through a preamp...
I'm not sure how it will be wired as it's for one of my dad's projects but I'll let him know to get in touch with John East. Thanks.
If it is for guitar have a look at the Tonelifter it is an excellent piece of kit.
That does look pretty good. Going for the Stellartone option though as it's passive.

The Mid Sweep 01 looks like it might do the trick. Thanks guys!

Hi guys. I'm looking for a stacked; sweepable (swept?) EQ knob, i.e. one control changes frequency the other cuts/boots frequency. I've been searching Google but can't find anything of the kind. Does anyone know if a control like this is available to buy or would it have to be custom-made? It would be used on a guitar (not a bass) with a piezo pickup. Thanks in advance.

Not posted anything on the forum for a while, but here goes... Aguilar AG500SC with two DB112s and a P bass. This rig cured my GAS... I saw them them live at the V Festival a few years ago. Still one of the best live shows I've ever seen.
why can't the Mexican factory produce the same instrument without the artificial ageing
They do! The Classic series instruments are exactly the same apart from a poly finish instead of nitro and the lack of relicing, AFAIK.

Who was the bassist that got up onstage with Larry Graham last night?
Ray replied to Ray's topic in General Discussion
I actually said to my mate he sounded better then the great man himself!
I thought the same thing.
Changing the subject a little I was surprised at how much the bass end was held down by the keyboard player, it sounded huge so I'm not complaining
Yeah, I was quite surprised too. During their soundcheck I heard the keys player using some massive sub-bass sounds. -
Ah the penny has just dropped, I only caught the supports last couple of numbers, what I heard was very good though.
Thank you very much! -
PS - your sax player did himself proud.
He certainly did. He was grinning like a cheshire cat for the rest of the night! -
Last night at the Clapham Grand. Larry and the band started inviting random people onstage to jam with them while they were playing If You Want Me To Stay. First a keys player then a guitarist. Then this guy got up, pointed at Larry, mouthed the word "bass" at him so Larry takes off his bass, gives it to this guy and he starts playing wicked slap bass. I'm not into slap at all but really dug this guys playing. Nothing flashy. Just a great groove. Who was it? Anyone on here?

We opened for Larry Graham & Graham Central Station last night. Not that many people there while we were on but we got a good response, which is nice! GCS were great too. Not really my thing tbh - mid to late seventies funk - but I enjoyed their show.

This gig is happening next Monday! 10th September! P.S. Sorry for the delay...

Hi BC! More of a re-indroduction really. I've been a BC member for ages but haven't been on the site much for about a year. I've been lurking around for the last few weeks and forgot how great this forum is! I play mostly funk, soul and a bit of jazz. I also recently joined a rock 'n' roll trio. TBH, I'm in a bit of a rut at the moment. I feel my bass playing hasn't improved much, if at all, over the last couple of years so I thought I'd come back here to try and find some inspiration. R
