Well, I'm more than happy with my £250 Squier VM Precision. Neck swap, new tuners and pickups, say another 75 squids. Sounds great, looks good, weighs 6.9lbs. Job done.

If you're concerned about the isolation of IEMs, then maybe they are not for you. However, there are workarounds. Buy something expensive, like ACS T1 Lives, which have their own anti - isolation technology built in, or, much cheaper, put a spare mic at the back of the band facing outward. Personally, I just like the peace and quiet of being isolated!

Get a Squier VM Fretless Precision and do the neck swap. Change the pckup also if you want. Lightest Precision you'll ever own, guaranteed.
