hellothere Posted March 18, 2010 Share Posted March 18, 2010 i ordered a bass from the uS that im collecting today, after charges ive saved like 50 quid. wasnt really worth it as ciustoms held my bass for a week for no reason, id haverather payed the 50 and got it the next day from the uk lol i know parcelfroce charge a handling fee but apparently its pretty easy to claim back if you phone up their complaints line. also despite what tehy tell you they cant hold your package until you pay their admin charges, if you ahve payed duty and VAT then they are legally obliged to give you your package according to the Postal Act of 2000. When I went to the USA back in 2007 I went to Sam Ash to get my new cymbals. In the UK they would have been £260 and £280 each. In the US they were $210 and $220.
