Ended up defretting it, painting it metallic blue then eventually throwing it in the skip. But I have to concede, it launched me on a 40 year voyage of fun, friends and discovery! I thought it unlikely that someone would go to the trouble of putting a rosewood fretless board on it , but you never know I suppose... I own a Hondo II Bass and i am in the process of restoring Bass guitars adding new stuff to em making them look cool! Let me know if you still got the Bass.
