Hondo II bass

My first ever bass was Hondo II Precision copy bought from a mate at school. Ended up defretting it, painting it metallic blue then eventually throwing it in the skip. But I have to concede, it launched me on a 40 year voyage of fun, friends and discovery!

Resurrection of old thread !!! 😁

Do any of you knowledgeable people know if there was ever a Professional  2 cutaway fretless bass available ?

Don't remember ever seeing a factory fretless.

It's just that I've spotted a fretless one in cash converters fairly close to me for £190 ... I thought it unlikely that someone would go to the trouble of putting a rosewood fretless board on it  , but you never know I suppose...

They probably thought anyone who could actually play a fretless would be unlikely to buy a Hondo ll

... I also had one of those Hondo black P basses with the very very thick neck, I actually quite liked it :)

I have the double cutaway bass , my first ever bass ... I cant play fretless 😁 ...but it's in quite good nick , dark brown with rosewood   looks nice .... £190 for a wall hanging maybe a tad too steep for me 😊

I have interest in this guitar if you still own it after all this time. I own a Hondo II Bass and i am in the process of restoring Bass guitars adding new stuff to em making them look cool! Let me know if you still got the Bass.

I have a Hondo II bass which was bought for me back in the 80's (roughly 1987) and I am wondering if it is any good and if it's worth anything at all? I'll have to take some photos, but I wondered if anyone could tell me anything about it from the model?

In all honesty it's not really in great condition, but a lot of people like relics!! http://basschat.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/%3C#EMO_DIR%23%3E/biggrin.png
