odey Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Hi Guys.. Long time bass player but first time poster to this forum... I'm looking at buying a fender USA jazz 75 reissue and found one in black with a rosewood board. I'm suspicious of the colour. Did they make a black reissue? It supposed to be a 2001 model. I know that the current one is natural colour Thanks for any help Odey Quote
Cat Burrito Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I believe they did. I had a natural one from around 1999 but this was certainly the more popular choice. Quote
Thump Boy Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Yes, they did make the 75' reissue in black. I have seen it. I don't know about 2001. Quote

AndyTravis Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 i've got one, in lake placid blue, a limited run. I recall black, and sunburst being available at one point. Great basses. Quote
MELLOW Posted yesterday at 12:17 Posted yesterday at 12:17 (edited) They did !! I got one. But this color seem to be very very rare on this model. Never seen another one... except a maple fretboard one. Natural (maybe 95 % minimum), Sunburst, and Black were made. Edited yesterday at 12:21 by MELLOW 2 Quote
Shambo Posted yesterday at 14:53 Posted yesterday at 14:53 My fave Jazz colour combo. Black, rosewood, blocks & binding with a BWB or tort scratchplate. Had both an original 75 an a jap reissue over the years. I wish Fender would update the 75 look to a modern passive version. Like an American Pro 2 FSR. Quote
