Hi Guys.. Long time bass player but first time poster to this forum...

I'm looking at buying a fender USA jazz 75 reissue and found one in black with a rosewood board. I'm suspicious of the colour. Did they make a black reissue? It supposed to be a 2001 model. I know that the current one is natural colour

Thanks for any help

Thanks guys. I think i'm gonna get it and swap the white pickguard for a black one. Should look great. But more importantly.. should sound great too!!

I got one.

But this color seem to be very very rare on this model. Never seen another one... except a maple fretboard one.

Natural (maybe 95 % minimum), Sunburst, and Black were made.

My fave Jazz colour combo. Black, rosewood, blocks & binding with a BWB or tort scratchplate. Had both an original 75 an a jap reissue over the years.

I wish Fender would update the 75 look to a modern passive version. Like an American Pro 2 FSR.
