Do you already have rack gear you use live? I would not want to drag around a rack piece unless it was racked with other stuff I was using anyway (amps, preamps, crossover, etc). But it is your gig.
Line 6 makes a couple of versions of the foot controller for the Pro depending on how much you like to move your feet:
Boss, Korg. Korg, Boss. Boss, Korg. Korg, Boss.
Everyone says the same thing.
Forget that and get a real tuner:

I am glad the vacuum cleaner worked for you. The last time I tried to fix a dust cap I ended up with a bigger dent than when I started. Now I just leave dented dust caps alone and look the other way.

Well that is not much of an endorsement for the instrument. Are you listed in the Artists page?
If you have already bunged it with wire wool then try to polish is some with 0000 steel wool. There is a plastic polish made for polycarbonate headlight lenses made by Meguiar's called PlastX. You could try that.
I like this one. It will tune 2 octaves below a low B and has a built in mic so the horn section can use it too.

I don't know about availability on your side of the pond but I played this guitar and liked it a lot. I can recommend it for the price range you are in.

Always carry a spare battery but also buy a bass that can be switched to passive because your guitar player might steal your battery for his pedal because he does not follow the "always carry a spare battery" rule. My Peavey Dyna Bass is active but I play it passive all the time. It still sounds good.
