Takamine TB10 or DB10? What’s the difference?

Think the TB had the cool tube preamp…seemed to kick in about 2005.

 

you used to be able to choose your Takamine guitar and then choose the preamp separately…

 

it confused punters - and I think I did 6 or 7 stock takes counting the unsold preamps and guitars…

It doesn't matter but always thought the pre cool tube preamp was a B10 and the later one with the cool tube was a TB10. 

I came very very close to ordering one on a few occasions, but ultimately I think it wouldn't replace either my doublebass or an electric bass, so would end up unused.

TD or not TB… that is the question.

I think the DB10 played using the endpin in an upright position would prob suit a shorter player as opposed to a much larger double bass.
