Bassbooksbikes Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Absolute beginner, mid fifties. Been wanting to give the Bass a go for a while. Just finished a Masters so I now have the time. My fingers feel like sausages on the frets but looking forward to beginning this odyssey. I'm wondering how many hours of practice a day I will need to be competent not expert? Currently murdering ant tune on a Yamaha RBX 270 in the right hands it sounds fantastic. Quote
rwillett Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Welcome indeed. Read, ask loads of questions, post pictures of your bass. The fat fingers usually goes away. Didn't in my case but you should be fine. Not been to Glossop for ages, was brought up in Chesterfield but loved the peak district Quote
