RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted November 4 Posted November 4 FWIW it seems you have / will have all bass covered …and then some ! It’d be interesting to hear your experience of how this pans out 1 Quote

I'm all agog to look into some of these when my old work pension monies pop into my account 1 Quote
jimbobothy Posted yesterday at 11:52 Author Posted yesterday at 11:52 … and here is the Sub Phatty: … has the expected stickiness these are known for on the end cheeks and mod/pitch wheels, so will have to get that off somehow. But a 2019 year production not played much at all, so happy with it 👍🏻. Great 0 feedback seller on eBay also, so the risk was definitely worth taking! 1 Quote
pantherairsoft Posted yesterday at 12:03 Posted yesterday at 12:03 I got to AB a Sub Phatty against my 25 a few months back. Aside the drive section, there wasn’t much to report back on, which is a testament to how well they produced the Subsequent. The Phatty has a look to it that’s really awesome though! 1 Quote
jimbobothy Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago … yeah, they are very similar so far. I think the Sub Phatty will probably be the one that goes out more as even though it’s in great condition, it’s not literally brand new. Least the keys are all straight on this one though 😁! 1 Quote
BigRedX Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Regarding the stickiness, if it's just a coating that is sticky you'll have to remove it, otherwise it will come back no matter what you do. If it's the actual material itself then the only real solution is replacement. Maybe some nice wood for the end cheeks and see if someone is offering 3D-printed replacements for mod and pitch wheels. jimbobothy Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Cheers. I think it is the plastic/hard rubber itself, at least on the mod wheels. Using alcohol does clean off the residual stickiness for a couple of years I’ve been told. I think I read it was the coating on the end cheeks, but not sure. I’ll see how it goes/last when I get around to doing it. At least for the end cheeks I could make some if need be. Good shout out about 3D printing the mod wheels though, maybe in the style of the ones on the Grandmother and Messenger etc? Quote
