wateroftyne Posted yesterday at 21:18 Author Posted yesterday at 21:18 (edited) Update: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BASS Honestly, it's a stunner. It feels alive. I may change the pickups for something potted (I can be quite heavy-handed) but it sounds amazing with flats. Here's a clip from a dep with my Son's band this afternoon. Musicman20 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Sounds and looks fantastic! Nice playing as well. Quote
Agent 00Soul Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago So beautiful! I have Jazz that looks very similar but is a Frankenbass, made from various parts of Fender, Warmouth, Bass Centre, and maybe Seymour Duncan (I can't remember anymore). This stock instrument looks nicer as it's untouched. Fender Japan comes up with the most creative, beautiful stuff! Quote

Harps Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago What a beauty! I’ve absolutely fallen in love with my MIJ International Series P-Bass. I didn’t expect it to become my go-to bass but it plays incredibly well and feels a bit lighter than my other P, so I’m a basswood, and Japanese Fender, convert. 1 Quote

I bought a 2011 Fender Japan Jaguar bass new as my backup. When I switched bands, I started using it as my #1 for the mental change and it broke in much faster. Once it had broken-in, it sounded so good that it became my main bass. It still is. Fender Japan is fantastic! The body is alder or ash, not basswood, but I'm sure it would have been the same situation. 1 Quote
sPiKi Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Lovely bass. Looks great in the video. If you can access Fender Japan's site. these are currently available as part of their MIJ Heritage Series. Edited 5 hours ago by sPiKi Quote

That said, although mine is supposed to be basswood, it's 9.4lbs so it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be alder. Quote
sPiKi Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Could be, but enjoy the new bass no matter what it's made out of 😎. Quote
