Sterling Stingray Short Scale

This was one of my main basses when playing short scale instruments following hand surgery. It’s easy to get around because of the slim neck and 30” scale and enabled me to get back into gigging.

This bass has a beautiful flamed roasted maple neck with birdseye board.

The bass has three original tuners and a Hipshot D tuner fitted. It has a black pickguard fitted as well as the original pearl white one.

It is well balanced and comfy to play over long gigs. It weighs 3.7kgs. The final picture shows it alongside a full size Stingray Special.

Selling as I no longer need it. It is a lovely bass and I kept it in preference over two EBMM US made short scale Stingrays.

Postage in the UK will be £20 if you can’t pick it up in person. No trades and it is a UK sale only sorry.

Wow, Ash, that’s a lovely neck.

I had a Daphne Blue one of these when they first came out, and it was a great player - I only got rid when I returned to long-scales - but the maple neck sure as hell wasn’t roasted like yours.

GLWTS.

That's a roast-tacular neck!

Yes it is a very nicely roasted specimen 😆

What did you prefer over the ebmm

Feel of the neck and I prefer the look of this style bridge with the heavier saddles and side bolts.

  • Thanks 1
