Still sounds heavy to me.

Other than that, I'm guessing they don't have cases available, I'd have to think one would be huge.

A gig bag is available, though.

Given that it's plugged in, amplified and he appears to be playing through a traditional bass rig is there any point to the huge body?

It's for those who like to play unplugged.

Not for me, I have two Dean Exotica acoustic basses and I always plug in...it's all about the tone. 

I'm not saying my Deans sound better, but I bet they do.

Other than that, Brian seems to like it because he's playing it again and again.
