Antoria Twin Caster Hollow Body Bass, need some advice

Hi, newbie here!

I was at an auction waiting for an Epiphone LP to come up, when, before that, an Antoria Twin Caster Bass appeared, which I ended up getting for a song. It has a broken tuner (which I can fix), no bridge, and it's missing the bushings on all but one tuner.

I'm not a bass player, so I'd appreciate some advice. Does anyone know what the original floating bridge would have looked like? I haven’t been able to find any pictures anywhere. I found a bridge in pic 2 and was wondering if it might be a good fit? It seems to be from the right era and is Japanese made.

Also, any ideas on where the bridge should be positioned?

Oh, and finally—could someone recommend a medium-priced set of suitable strings, please? 🙂

Actually, I did find that thread, but the model looked too early to be of any relevance. On reflection though 🙂

The bridge would be positioned the same distance from the 12th fret as the nut, give or take a smidge for intonation.

Bit late to be much help (that bridge will work fine!) but do post more & detailed pics. Not familiar with this design of Twincaster & it's got some details (pickups, for a start) I wouldn't expect to see on an Antoria.

I'll post more pics when the parts arrive. One pickup is not working, but found one on eBay USA for £80 inc shipping. Bridge, tuner bushings totalled £90. I only paid £60 for the Twin Caster and the body and neck are in superb condition, so not too bad.
