It's done 200+ gigs with me alone! Has the original PAS speakers, which are rebranded eminence, I'm told. They had bigger magnets than the production ones, to give give better bottom end. Just the speakers themselves are quite sought after! I had one reconed about 2 years ago by Wembley Loudspeakers, which was more expensive than just buying a new eminence driver because it just wouldn't have sounded as good. It's done more than 50 gigs since then, so don't worry that it's not "as good" as the original cone. It originally had "banana plug" connectors but I've changed this for a quarter inch jack. When I bought it, there was a fault with the crossover but this didn't bother me as the clarity is so amazing without it, I've just always left it turned off. A while ago, I've replaced it with a very high quality [url="http://www.thomann.de/gb/link_dynamics_ldx24.htm"]Link Dynamics LDX24[/url] one. Although the original attenuator is still there, I didn't know how to wire it in, so the tweeter is always on. This is not a problem, as it's a phenominal [url="http://www.thomann.de/gb/fostex_fh27_hochtoener.htm"]Fostex tweeter[/url] (the original one), which itself is not exactly cheap! There's nothing to stop you wiring in the attenuator, if you feel so inclined. All-in-all, I think [b]£100 [/b]is more than reasonable for this classic and fabulous sounding 2x10. Not really in a hurry to sell this, so don't expect any silly price drops. Not looking for any swaps either. I just know I'm going to regret selling it and if I had the space, would keep it. However, I followed your link to the SWR vintage stuff and found my 12" Monitor. First time I've ever seen any reference to it in print. It's about the only wedge SWR made and they didn't seem to promote it very hard. It lives in my loft these days. Good luck with your sale, SWR is top stuff. Sharkfinger Posted June 11, 2009 Author Share Posted June 11, 2009 Just had an idea: I would be willing to sell the cab (inc. crossover and tweeter) separately from the 10" drivers. That way, someone could load the cab with (lightweight?) Eminence drivers (recommended) and make the cab whatever wattage and impedance they liked. The original PAS Eminence drivers would be ideal for an 'BFM Omni 10' or 2 x 'BFM Omni 10.5': the increased efficiency of the BFM design completely negates the "drawback" of these drivers being relatively low-powered by today's standards. Plus, as these are well known to have more bottom end than the standard Eminence 10" drivers (then or now), that negates what I see as a drawback to the BFM Omni design! Would not separate unless I managed to sell the cab, as that's what takes the space up! I'd accept [b]£50 for the cab[/b]. Seeing as the crossover is new and and cost £32 and to buy one of these tweeters now would set you back £62, I think that's an incredible deal.
