Probably not a bad decision especially as the reserve is likely to be close to the buy it now price!

One oddity that has always bugged me on mine... why are the pickups for this 5 string version the size of a 4 string set! They barely extend either side of the B and G stings!

Yamaha are smart. They know that the B string is just a thumb rest and the G string isn't really a “bass” string, with frequencies only audible by dogs and small mammals like lead guitarists.

not really, this is fairly normal for 4 and 5 string jazz pups to be the same size - unless visible pole pieces are involved
