ambient
The Irish Centre in Digbeth, Birmingham. I went to a few gigs there in the 1990s with my brother. It is, or was, just a few hundred metres from the college I teach at. Now, sadly reduced to a pile of rubble. Probably to make way for more of the flats and apartments you can see behind it.
T-Bay
Isn’t that area part of the HS2 nonsense? Loads of work going on around there. The academy has survived so far at least……

The tramway work is crazy, they have closed loads of roads and coned off huge areas but work on a 50m stretch at a time. I know a couple of businesses in the old custard factory that area struggling because of it.

I go there most days for coffee.

Cato
I may be wrong but I think that iteration of the Irish Centre closed it's doors before covid and the building has been unused since. There's a 'New Irish Centre' opened in Kings Heath which I think may be run by some of the same people although I'm not sure whether the new place is still a regular live venue. I've just gwgled and the Barrel Organ is now the Dubliner and still there (for how much longer I don't know).
