Hi - would like some information, please, on the differences between types of strings for acoustic basses.  They seem to be available in (at least!) three separate manufactured types: copper (like gear4music inhouse), bronze (Warwick) and phosphor-bronze.  Can you peops please tell me what the differences are...?  Cheers.

They're all horrible!

Sorry, not a lot of help I realise.

I find all 'acoustic' bass strings really noisy, lots of fret clatter and string squeal when moving around.

You can fit any type of string to an acoustic, I use Fender tapewounds.

You may sacrifice some volume but I find the tone is greatly improved over any 'acoustic' strings.
