Making an amp?

I have nearly finished all my bass projects and I fancy a change.

Is it possible to make you own amp? If so what would I need in terms of tool and materials? and how much would it cost?

You could do a simple one but i would learn a bit about electronics and constucting simple circuit boards first otherwise you are going to wind up wasting a lot of money on something that wont be very good or even work.There is loads of simple stuff on the web,try building a fuzz box or something first.

Do a google search for any of aron nelsons tube screamer clones,i warn you though it can be very frustrating when you start trying to build these from the raw,i would start with a fuzz rather than an overdrive.

Good advice, hone your skills on something that works on 9v batteries, rather than than 240v ac.

Or have a go at some speaker cabs.
