Downunderwonder Posted October 7, 2022 Share Posted October 7, 2022 Iirc nominal flat in 'clock' positions is bass 10, low mid 2, high mid 1, treble 10. Start there. Be very aware that your solo tone, aka 'bedroom tone', is nearly always 'best' with more bass and less mids. In a rock band band mix that becomes a woolly lost mess buried by guitar hero 'bedroom tone' with boosted low end that obliterates the toneful bass mids. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

xgsjx Posted October 9, 2022 Share Posted October 9, 2022 See if you can get your tone with either just the 2x10 or the 1x15 (if the 2x10 can be disconnected, that is). If so, then you know what cab you need. If not, then it’s either your bass or try a different amp. Can you get the sound you want from your bass without that rig (e.g. through your computer)?
