Hi all I'm Barry, very new to DB and have bought a Harley Benton electric to see if this is for me. Already would like an acoustic!

I have sung in bands for a long time and currently in Ska band which I love but not intending to continue for very much longer as I think I'm getting to old to be jumping around a stage. I have never played an instrument but if i had it would have been a DB as I love rockabilly. Any advice welcome to my novice self on playing and a beginners acoustic DB which I would like next and not sure what is a reasonable price or type?

 There are lots of people here who can advise on beginning double bass, but I'm not one of them. Best head over to where the hep cats like@Owen hang out. 😎

Hi, welcome. I'd recommend finding a teacher to get you started to help avoid acquiring bad habits.... 🙂 (I play cello and you can cause yourself some longterm issues if you're not careful).
