SOLD 1955 Fender Champ Lap Steel
£800
Nr York

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)
A great lap steel now 66 years old along with the original tweed case, both in good condition.
The pick ups are very collectable and many examples had them removed in the 50's and put into Fender Esquires to convert to Telecasters apparently.
The green baize on the underside is all on good condition and the serial number is 6242 for anyone wishing to explore the age and model.
Can be shipped or collected personally from nr York

I’ve had a few of these, sound immense with the old pickup. The cases are so cute too. Nice 👍

Thank you, yes, Leo really nailed it and you can get a great western swing or ballsy/gritty slide sound out of them

Thats a cracker - I bet that pickup rocks. I have an old rickenbaker lapsteel and the tone is to die for.
