Given the reaction (good) of some of the other musicians to things he does he is not a long standing member. However he is totally nailing the whole set, beginning to end. Russ Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Watched the SBL video over the weekend. Freddie is an understated monster. His time is perfect, as is his feel. The basslines themselves are, on the whole, pretty simple in terms of notes (pentatonics, box patterns, etc), it's all about the phrasing and the groove, and he absolutely nails it - it's a stark lesson for the "more is more" crowd. A P-bass, four strings and the knowledge and experience of how best to serve a song and get people up off their collective @rses. 4 Quote
Piers_Williamson Posted October 15 Posted October 15 (edited) I came across this by chance.......Wilton Felder on the sax and Ready Freddy on the bass! If it's the same precision, he gets through scratch plates! Edited October 15 by Piers_Williamson 2 Quote
ian61 Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Great shots of Freddie and that good ole meat and potatoes tone... works with everything, every time. Brilliant. 1 Quote

It's been fitted with a Badass bridge and a Bartolini pickup. All top of the range mods when they were done. Quote
