garbev Posted March 23, 2009 Share Posted March 23, 2009 'Evening, Selling my Squire modified fretless bass due to my impending Pedulla bill! These are great basses, lovely neck and phenolic fingerboard, well made, nice finish but let down by some of the hardware.... So I put a Badass on it, installed at the correct angle, an Emg J set and added a scratchplate, looks better to me and I'm a huge Jaco fan. Also waxed the neck, looked a bit too white. It's very well set up, very low action plenty of growl and mwaaa. The bass in in excellent condition, some slight string scoring on board, no effect on playability or sound. I'm asking £220 plus postage. I realise these are around £250 new, but the cost of the upgrades is reflected in the price. Pickup is fine, I'm in South Wales, Cheers, Gary. I bought a new one a month ago and very happy with it for the price though I would have been happier buying yours methinks. Considering the upgrades this is a very good price.
