anty Posted March 8, 2009 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Play in this band, half step down tuning with an ibanez atk 700 www.myspace.com/commonbredtrigger I dont have much of a budget and was told hartke ha 3500s are decent Dont care if its head and cab or combo just something not too pricey - £400 is possible limit limit (unless someone wants to buy my washburn pi70 guitar ) Im able to get one of those hartke ha's for about £270 brand new. Happy Jack Posted March 9, 2009 Share Posted March 9, 2009 I'm confused. Either you need something for "practice rooms and small bars" or you need a Hartke HA 3500. The two are mutually exclusive. Try playing through an HA3500 in any small bar with the volume set above '2' and they'll pull your plug. I was playing through one at a large and very loud London jam session yesterday and got told to turn it down when I hit '4'. And why would you want to lug such a heavy piece of kit around? You'd be much better off with something like a Warwick Take 12 (80W through a 12"), or even an old 1970's WEM Dominator (15W but those are valve watts which - as everyone knows - are far more powerful than those weedy S/S watts).
