Up for sale is this Oly white V4 Jazz from the good Mike.
Everything as spec'd by Mike: alder body in Oly white finish, slim reinforced maple neck with lined ebony board (original from manufacture, not modified afterwards) and matching headstock, Lindy Fralin Vintage single coil PUs.
It was originally wired vol, vol, tone, but I felt more comfortable with vol, balance, tone.
White pearloid pickguard is the original but I'll sell it with the additional mighty Mike tortoise one seen in the pics.
Will be equipped with the original ultralite hipshot, the lollipop ones were bought after for the look.
Definitely light, haven't weighted it yet but must certainly be nicely below 4kg, and very well balanced.
The bass sound great and is in immaculate condition, couldn't find scratches or ding even under angled light.
Original hardcase (special edition for this bass, as I was told from the local Lull dealer) is included.
Can post it if needed, bass is located in Italy (Salsomaggiore is near Parma).
Any question I'm here.
Not specifically looking for trades and I would consider trade value slightly higher probably, but if you have something to propose go ahead, in the worst case I'll gently decline.
Got this recently, but unfortunately I need to raise fund - so this awesome bass is now for sale.
Like new Mike Lull non -reverse thunderbird NRT5 custom. A piece of art, pure vintage sound. Very lightweight under 4kg. Custom 34" scale. With original hard case.
In terms of ergonomics, the Thunderbird is similar to other Lull - it feels nicely balance and the design and workmanship are superb.
In terms of tone, the pickups give you that awesome and iconic Thunderbird sound. In don't have my own soundclips but the reverse Thunderbird uses the same pickups as Lull's other Thunderbird basses:
Of course the Mike Lull made the bass to sound as close to the original Gibson Thunderbird ...
...but without the neck dive which the original Thunderbirds are known to have. You can read more about the non-reversed Thunderbirds on the link below:
And 1600 EUR - 1425 pounds now. This bass is better than most CS fender I've owned, and I've had many.
1700 EUR - 1500 pounds now
Even sillier... 1800 EUR
NEW SILLY PRICE, 1900EUR - 1700 POUNDS.
Mike Lull P4 in very good condition. Birdseye maple neck and fingerboard. Amazing Lollar pickups. Super light weight at 8 pounds (3.7 kg) and very resonant. Very comfortable neck, plays amazing. This bass is superior to most Fender custom shop instruments. Comes with original, like new Mike lull gig bag. A real treat for Pbass lovers like myself.
Price is 2100 EUR.
A beautiful Mike Lull PT4 with Bartolini pickups and Sadowsky preamp up for grabs, recently purchased on the forum. Here's the link to the original thread with some fantastic pictures of the bass.
I bought the bass without the Lull pickups mentioned, they were sold separately. The current combination of Sadowsky preamp and Bartolini pickups has to be heard to be appreciated. From chunky passive P bass tones on the neck pickup with the tone rolled off, to outrageous slap sounds with some EQ boost, to the fattest J bridge pickup sound imaginable . This bass has got it covered.
Included are two alternative tortoishell pickguards for your enjoyment.
The build quality is as high as it gets and it really feels special in the hands. I guess that's why they are £3k+ new!
This bass is unbelievably good, a truly reluctant sale.
