Hello everyone,

I used to be a member on here, but had to delete my profile (along with many other forums) to curb my internet usage.

I have some exciting things planned for 2020, some of which would be of interest to some members here and other projects I would need technical advise on from various members.

Bit about me -  I use the bass guitar for writing, but my primary instrument having stopped performing with double bass and bass G' is now the contrabassoon (some serious bass frequencies involved!).

I mainly perform my solo post-classical / post-techno compositions, but also appear as a session musician in related projects.

Head to my website - thomasstonemusic.com for a better idea of what I do.

All the best for the new year,

Thomas

Welcome aboard. 🙂

If you have been on this forum for any length of time you will already be anticipating this question: Contrabassoon - is it any good for metal?

Well all Irony aside Richard, I occasionally play in a Doom band - ORE.

So yes Contrabasson & Tuba & Trombone all through octave pedals into enormous bass amp stacks is very metal indeed :D
