1971 Fender Jazz

I bought this from the original owner who bought it new from Barratts Music Store Manchester in 1971
He played it on his knee sitting down, hence the wear on the bottom of the body
This is completely original, it even has the original set of strings and various picks
Ser is 320xxx
Pups are grey bobbins, rear is 3352 and front is 2301
Neck has no twists or turns, Klusons are very smooth too
Pots are dated: 7116
Green ink date stamp is gone on the neck unfortunately
It has a newish flight case bought in 1978
I’ve caught the Double Bass bug so this has to go, trades for Double Bass, Schroeder 1212L or Superlight EUB (the Bespokebass one) and
Offers around £4,500, WARNING!!! time wasters will be extremely sorry!!!
You tell 'em. Next thing you know, this will turn into a forum where people talk about basses. ;)
I was going to post some positive comments but am worried that I'd be wasting your time, so I won't :P
presumably you have been good enough to explain that the bass maybe under-priced
Something along those lines...
But in the end 'the market decides' on the price of anything - no matter what the seller, or any of us thinks its 'value' is.

Well, it's definitely worth at least a grand as that's how much it's been bid to on EBay already ;)

£2,027.00 final price on eBay. Dare I suggest a bit of a reality check for the seller?
