One year later I wonder if any member have experience using this with a bass.

I finally went and had a fiddle...

And was deeply underwhelmed! There were no amp sims that were at all bass-oriented; everything else seemed to be similarly aimed at guitars - some of the distortions were passable, but wah effects, choruses, phases etc were not suited to bass at all. Seemed like a well-made piece of kit but I won't be buying one. And if the GE300 is similar I won't be looking at that either...

It’s aimed at guitar so I would imagine the effects in the box will be more tailored for such application. That’s not to say you can’t feed a bass into it tho b

Well, some effects aimed at guitar can be usable for bass. I use a boss gt100 and it's easy to create presets for bass with it.

I pressed the button , and bought one to try out ( thinking If I did not like it , I could send it back ), and I love it .

Agree , its aimed at the Guitarist , but I have found that a bit of tweeking goes a long way .

There is a fender bassman amp , and 4x10 cab in there ( maybe this has been an - upgrade ? )

I use the Messa Mk III clean , with the drive backed off  , tone tweeked , linked to a Bassman 4x10 cab .

The Chorus / Flanger / Auto wah / Temolo and Drives are all usable - IMHO with tweeking ..

Now the editing software has been updated , its very easy to use .

Soundwise , Its up to the individual , but I love it .

Pete

Congrats. Loving the fact that Mooer, Hotone and Boss are keeping Zoom and Helix on their toes in 'mid range' multifx's.

For less than the cost of many single pedals you're surely going to have a lot of fun!

I'm really looking forward to what virtual NAMM 2021 has in store for us!

@petetexas

I could buy one second hand at a good price given where I live.

But I have some questions for an experienced user if it's not too much of a hassle:

1. Does the drivers and editor work well with Windows 10
2. Does the editor allow to insert (re-order) presets between others.
3. Which problems / Limits did you encounter?

Preset manager is very important for me, as I have 6 basses and I usually create my own presets.

Also for concerts, I reorganize the presets to be consecutive following the setlist.

(As a bad example, with the Hotone Ampero, to do this , you have to save your presets one by one individually, and reload them one by one as you cannot move them in the editor... A real lost of time)
