These basses are awesome instruments and make an incredible sound. Its virtually brand spanking new and is hand made by Mr Skjold. This one is based on a jazz style body and offers versatile tones form more traditional jazz type sounds (thick and growly) to more modern 'zingy' sounds more similar to Celinder/Sadowsky etc. This is partly due to the Split Coil pups which retain the old school 'woody' tone without going down the humbucker route...Its really natural and fat sounding. It is fantastic to play and very rewarding. Here's the details: Body: Ash w/Maple top (check the grain in the picks) Neck: Maple 3 Piece Neck w/ Morado finger board. Frets: 21 + Zero fret for accurate intonation Hardware: Hipshot ultra light tuners. Custom Skjold bridge. Dunlop strap locks. All Black. Electronics: Skjold/East Preamp. Vol/Pan/Bass/Mid/Treble with frequency sweep inside cavity. Neutrik locking jack socket. Pups: Skjold Sc1. Custom wound split coil pickups. Weight: Around the 8/8.5 mark ! Very light indeed.
