Is this a clever gadget?

Found these on the Bay - thought that this might be a proper clever little gadget - almost a "free" pick up. Is it as clever as I thought?

I reckon you should buy a couple Mick , put them in a box under your bed for a couple or three years and then offer them in the marketplace :D

Stop putting ideas in my head...and anyway, there's very little room left under the bedxD

I was wondering if adding this would, in effect, give the bass an extra Piezo...

Adding 'this' alone would give you an extra filled hole on your bass, that's all. It would need a piezo element to be fitted under the saddles or bridge to be of any use. :|
