Lightweight, easy to play, massive array of tones - this bass will take you to a new level of playability and tone. This Dingwall bass is hand made using properly seasoned, instrument grade alder that is highly resonant and light in weight. This bass features an upgraded bird's eye maple fingerboard and 3 band Glockenklang preamp with active/passive switching.

Time after time players are amazed at how easy and intuitive fan frets feel to play - most admit that it is actually easier and more natural. With the ABI Dingwall set out to create the ultimate passive bass. It's lightweight and perfectly balanced. On stage or in the studio, perfect tone is as simple as plugging in and playing.
Nice looking bass and very very light for a 5 stringer glwts
Thank you! :) It is indeed very light - I should also add that this bass has zero neck dive. None, nada. I posted a video ages ago demonstrating but I can't find it. I'll do another mebbe.

Speaking of videos, I've added two that feature this bass so everyone can see it in action.

I am obviously looking for a quick sale and invite discussion via PM from anyone interested.

Every time I edit my post above, the videos disappear, which is really frustrating. So I am putting them in this post instead.

Wish I have the cash for this but my Fbass wouldnt sell. Have a bump.
Thank you for the bump! I actually wish I had the money to keep it! That said, I'm not so sure that a high ticket price instrument will sell quickly here. I'm concerned about having to use the 'e' word and put it out for auction. Contemplating selling a third bass as well, my Fender Power Jazz Bass Special :(

I still wantttt this. Need the Thumb sold before I can consider it further! How does the maple compare to wenge, the obvious? I.e. Brighter, snappier
Hi Kev!

I think you've nailed it there. It has a nice snap to this bass, but you know, I think due to the scale length and electronics, the differences are very slight. You'd not tell the difference in the mix I wouldn't say. I have been lucky enough to try out different Dingwall pickups and I am absolutely certain that in certain configurations you can bring out way more mids or whatever than you can changing the neck for Wenge for example.

Kev, think you're based in the Leamington area like me, maybe we could go halves? 😀

 bass share, but who would get custody if we fell out??
Oh the usual, a bitterly fought divorce settlement, probably cost twice as much in lawyers fees sorting out visiting rights

I ought to save a couple from that!! - It looks like I'll have to withdraw it from BassChat, a few interest people but no solid offers.

What kinda thing are you looking for??
It's a tough one as it may be very specific items rather than random possibilities. Try me though! I really would prefer cash outright as I am being forced to sell this bass rather than fancying a change if you see what I mean. This is not something I want to do at all.

Trades will include either:

Bergantino HD112, Bergantino HD212 or Barefaced BB2 with cash my way.

Though i may choose to withdraw or change plans whilst i'm waiting to try out some stuff / emails incoming.

Due to the thoroughly underwhelming demand for such a fine instrument I may as well withdraw it from BassChat. Over £1000 off the price of a new one! You can't give stuff away sometimes! ha!
