I must be mad for selling this. Its a great bass!.
2001 p bass special deluxe passive model. P bass body, p and jazz pickups, metal gold scratch plate, American vintage bridge, very nice jazz neck that has some flamming.

Its in very good condition. Everything works as it should. Brand new fender flatwounds, polished frets, oiled bored etc.
Its been used but never abused and what I call a good honest bass.
Has a very good range of tones and easy to play. One of the best mex basses ive played.

Body in great condition for the age the back is almost like new!, sides are very good and the front is good has some small marks ive pictured.

Neck is good has a nice bit of flame going on. Does have a small shallow cut see pic and a typical shallow mark lower down couldn't get a pic as so shallow. Just being totally honest!. Head is very good but has a typical dink on the bottom that's hidden from view see pic.

SOLD £395 collected or £425 Posted (Sale only!), uk only I will also post to Ireland. Posted in a proper outer box with plenty of packaging. Comes with a decent padded gig bag, straplocks and fender straplocked strap. Newish rounds also included. Ready to gig!

Bump and getting a slight price drop now £425 POSTED (it will cost me £35 posted and insured). Alternatively your welcome to come around and try before you buy, in that case I will take £395.
Great bass had it out last night and nearly withdrawn. Pics don't do it justice.

Seen there is a thing for road worn mim basses lately, this is cheaper and just as good a bass. P and Jazz tones best of both worlds.

Fabulous basses.
Despite my newly imposed embargo on buying basses, I would be blagging a trip to mumsy's in Darlo if this had been a maple board.

Vastly under rated as a gigging bass.

By the way, try Parcelhero via their UPS service. Delivered with £500 insurance is around £22.

GLWTS, lovely.

What is the exact weight please?
After an average of a few weighings I get an average of 9 pounds or just under 9 on some decent digital scales.

Seriously nice looking bass :)
What is the nut width & depth like? Is it the more modern C type shape?
Like a very sweet jazz bass. So typical jazz width and it's very comfortable. I'm guessing it's the modern shape however there not much depth to it. Not like some fat neck C's.
I hate using these words but it has a fast neck. Nice you can adjust string spacing too with the threaded saddles. So if your used to a wider neck it can compensate somewhat. Or you can have the strings closer.

If I helps anyone here is the rear of the neck, like I say its a nice slim neck up and down. Flame has cane out in the pics too :)

Hi there. You don't mention whether you're up for any trade deal. It would be two of mine for this!! A Japanese hollow EB-2 style from'72ish and a Peavey Fury USA '83. Will send pics if of any interest to you. Regards Paddy.

Good! I didn't have any GAS until I saw this, so it's probably just as well if someone snaps it up quickly!

I played an American-made version of this (the only difference as far as I can see is the through-body stringing option) and it was lovely - and a perfect match for my Jazz Deluxe.
